  1. thinking a drink recipe contest for a "Moose Cleveland Steamer" is now appropriate...

could just call it "The Steamer" for short...

    (checks for drinks named "Steamer"...)

ok, all clear, only a SteamBoat.

Note: there is a Moose Fart, Moose Piss, and Moosemilk... and no Cleveland drinks?.

please google cleveland steamer before suggesting a drink......

Knowing what it is ... I dont think i would ever drink something that had that in the name...

and being a bartender... dont think id ever make or server one either...

  2. I am a gambler but I have yet to read the proposal, If it is giving a company a monopoly as far as they are the only ones allowed to have casinos in ohio then I will vote no but if it is opening the door to having different companies to build as they wish then yes. There are few questions left unanswered that need answered

The current proposal only allows for 4 total, Clvland, Cbus, Cinci, Toledo...

after reading a few more of the articles that casper posted about the tax rate, I feel better.... But the question does remain... Y only 4??

  3. Well go there. I dont give a shit, Im not supporting them anymore. This place is also 3minutes from your house sara, so I can understand why you like it ;)

Either way, Im going to try and find a new place for next year. Thats kinda our thing anyway... new place each year! :D

Another bar to check out if ppl dont want to do the Downtown thing is

I,v meet the Owner... He rides and does a lot of stuff as well. and is a all around pretty cool guy

  4. You realize slots at the tracks and this casino issue are completely separate, right? Taxes weren't changed. They're unrelated. The slots at tracks was the governors own deal.

yes... but again... why is it that the state is charging the LOWEST precentage out of all states? And was on par for the slots. I guess I was unclear when I said changed.. I should have said DIffrent!!

  5. I hate to say it but at this point I think I am going w/ NO.

Reason being, if you look at the orginal TAX amount that the race track are going to have to pay for SLOTS!! it was like 50%

The Casions are only having to pay 32%.... I dont see how that is fair to change that... if it is bout incoming revenue then why would you chage the casinos less? Most states chage 50-75%... why is the state offering it up so CHEAP if that want to make money?????

I do agree that it would be beneficial and bring in Jobs and money..... but the diffrence in the tax rates bothers me...

  6. I became confused when I heard the word "Service" used with these agencies:

    Internal Revenue 'Service'

    U.S. Postal 'Service'

    Telephone 'Service'

    Cable TV 'Service'

    Civil 'Service'

State, City, County & Public 'Service'

    Customer 'Service'

This is not what I thought 'Service' meant.

But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to 'Service' a few cows.

BAM!!! It all came into focus. Now I understand what all those agencies are doing to us.

You are now as enlightened as I am.
