Not bad for a polish guy

Just ordered one each for my wife and I. Getting up at 3am or order them may be geeky but it beats the shit out of camping outside the Apple store for 3 days. Also, when the 4S was released demand was so high that even those pre-ordering in the first 24 hours were having to wait up to 3 weeks to get their devices.

Now forgive me as I head down to starbucks for a triple-shot-venti-soy-no-whip-mocha-choca-poka-latte.

Do you remember what the estimated shipping date was? I wanted to order at 7 am at work but forgot my wallet at home and I could swear it said shipping date was 9/21. Well i ordered it finally at 2pm and ETA is now at 9/28.

Good scenario: Crank case needs cleaned out, inspected. If all is okay then they just mount on a new cover, change the oil and your good to go. Add $200 labor and google how much a cover, oil and filter is.

Bad scenario:

They find broken parts upon inspection. Nobody can tell you how much that will be till they take apart the engine. Thats when it could get expensive.

Victory is taking a hold

Just a fyi. "Hard Water" is Calcium and Magnesium in water. It accumulates in tight spots like coffee machines, irons etc and on air tried surfaces.

When it comes to washing your bike/car the calk is the last thing I worry about. More important is when, what you use and how you clean and dry the bike, like a brush, sponge and leather.

I washed hundreds of cars and bikes in my car mechanic apprenticeship in Germany in the 90's. The most important I learned:

Never ever clean/dry your car/bike or window in direct sun light, ever!

The paint/widow etc must be cool to the touch, always!

Cover the ignition system with a plastic bag before you begin.

Use lots and lots of water while the sponge is in contact with the paint/chrome.

Don't ever push to hard on the paint/chrome and rinse the sponge constantly.

Compressed air is very handy to dry your bike and all electrical connectors.

Leather works too but make sure its wet completely and the dirt is completely removed from the bike.

Oh and keep great distance between the power washer nozzle and your bike. Electrical connectors can handle water (Rain for example) but if you get to close you literally push water by the rubber gaskets. I personally stay away from power washers when I clean my bike.

Don't use to much force pushing the sponge leather etc onto the bike.

Pre soak heavy, dry dirt.

IMO: Wax is a waste of money.

I only Polish a vehicle once, when I sell it.

Did you check the fuses under the right side mini fairing compartment? Did a fuse blow there in the past, did you then reinstall a new fuse that was rated the same or was it rated lower/higher? Does the new LED light have a fuse installed?

Today we had a tornado warning. Of course I was with my bike out, she was wearing the mentioned tires. I monitored wunderground.com then picked a moment to head home, I did not encounter rain but the roads were wet, standing water everywhere! So i was careful. It was a solid ride. No twitches or sliding ect. just solid. I can recommend these tires! And I fucking rock

Cabin fever is setting in here, so I got my hands on Sonny Barger's Guide to Motorcycling.

It was a bit of a surprise to me when I read that one of the Hells Angels founding members dislikes Harley Davidson! He currently rides a Victory Vision.

So I did some digging and Victory is indeed, from the technical standpoint superior! And Polaris bought the Indian Motorcycle brand back in April, they are planning on to increase the production significantly. Its currently at 25 chiefs a year.

Harley finally needs to step up their game.

Well It turns out that Every bike is superior to harley davidson, from the technical standpoint. Or tell me one manufacturer the has a push rod engine still in its line up. Besides Indian and those are hand made!

Thanks for all the input. You all are right in your own about this topic. We could go on and on, why Harley sucks or rocks.

The simplicity is what still draws me to them. Harley's are very easy to diagnose & maintain. I'd love to build a knucklehead bike from scratch

I ride a lot to Mt Vernon for work from Columbus... just the other day. I look out for ya!

I would check the voltage with a multi-meter on the starter while a second person hits the starter switch. If you get 12V that means you have bad starter. No voltage means bad starter relay (which makes that clicking sound) or ignition switch (unlikely). Of course given you checked all wires/connections between it all. There might be a bad fuse too. Im a Car mechanic. Good Luck! Starters can go bad from one moment to the other... there is no telling. Let us know what it was

Bell helmet, taichi perforated leather jacket and pants, sidi boots. At all times. Cheap ass bike... no compromise! Some call me the power ranger.

Wasn't a planned ride though. Got home with my daughter, got out of the car and got to the front door and realized I didn't have my keys. Walked back to the car and realized they are in the ignition, with all the doors locked. Shit. Neighbor watched my daughter while I tried using a coat hangar to no avail. Other neighbor took me to where my wife works 3 minutes away to get the house key. I get inside the house and a few minutes later wife gets home. She takes my daughter back to work because the house key she gave me had her locker key on it also so she had to go back for her purse. Now she isn't all that happy either. I jumped on the bike for a 20 minute ride each way, in the rain, to get a lockout kit. Riding back my right hand gets hit hard with a rock, hard enough to make me release the throttle. Thank goodness for leather gloves. Get back home and in about 7 minutes I am able to fish the keys out through the passenger door. I do have a spare but keep them together so I can leave the car running and still be able to lock the doors. I'm getting a third key made to leave at home. First time I have ever locked my keys in the car. Hope I never have to deal with this again.

A few months ago someone busted my rear right passenger door window and stole my work owned laptop. no biggy.... i cashed the $700 insurance money and installed the $75 window myself, that was back in february. Yesterday i too left the keys in the car and doors were locked. My dad has a a lock out kit, i grabbed it and fiddled around ... no luck, my dad tries it to. Boom window broken F%^&!! Guess what... the same window busted... right rear passenger door. Karma? lol

What I want to know is who sits at a blind 180 turn like that. Cops know that when motorists see them pop out like that, they get spooked, by extension panic and do dumb shit like this guy.

Oh and how fast can you be in a turn.
