  1. joes didn't want to give me a quote for just the valve check. The lady I spoke with said well the service for that mileage costs this, so probably just alittle less than that. So I asked her for a ballpark figure, and she said between 210, and 375, but it could be more and they'd let me know if it was going to be more than that.

what if your valve check comes out to be wrong and you have to adjust the valve play? Thats when it gets expensive, "it could be more". So as long as the valve play checks out good its all good.

  2. In Germany it is very common to wear a so called "Nierengurt" in English "Kidney-belt".

As some of you know the Kidney is located by your lower back just under the skin. And the purpose of the Nierengurt is to protect the kidney from sub cooling (causes kidney infection) and also support your guts from bouncing/ shifting around if you hit these nasty put holes in the road and vertical accelerations.

What strikes me that there is not much discussion about these belt's. I found THIS article that describes it more in detail.

  3. Well Guys,

What is all the hype about... This reform is so overdue, just like the tax and SS reform. In my opinion the Heath care is most important. Why, because people Die! Answer me one question . Which western country besides us does Not have some sort of national program? Personally, out off all these programs I'd like to see the Single-Payer System (wiki). Free like the Fire and Police Dept! Then even Afghanistan*, Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Cuba, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iraq*, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Ukraine and the United Kingdom

    will envy us.

  4. From stuff I've read about Repsol, it's quite good for the price. I've been watching for some Repsol 10W40 at the Pony, so I can try it, but it's always sold out.

I tried to order the 10w40 from sportbiketrackgear.com they said its back ordered till October. Then I went to Iron Pony, they said the same. So I decided to purchase the 10w50. Not much of a difference... uhh and got a free Repsol T-Shirt... now I feel like a dork :D

  6. Thanks Guys for the advice!! I'll use their 250.

I signed up for the course but their schedule is full, the next free class is not till September some time. Don't know about the open door policy... don't want to waist my time :( So in mean time I'll continue to roam my dads lawn till my protection gear gets delivered, then I'm off to the parking lot with the MSF Guide. I'm very very excited !!!! :p

  7. Hello All,

I was following this forum for a while. I just got me my first "real" bike and like to learn as much as possible. I'm about to sign up for the MSF course. Yeah I know the kawa zzr600 isn't the perfect beginner bike. I will be easy on the throttle! I don't have a death wish :D

I hope I can talk them into letting me use my own bike for the MSF course (500cc limit). What do you guys think?
