  2. I'm sorry but when we didn't hear anything yesterday I made othe commitments. I would really love to do the trackday but I can't. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause u and your organization. It really sucks cuz I never win anyhing and have been getting ready for the gingerman day so already have most of the stuff I need.

Figured I would post it here and pm it. So Sunday is back up for grabs everyone.

    Standout,

I should be the one apologizing for the inconvenience this has caused you not you apologizing to me. It is not your fault that I posted up the winners late.

So how can we fix this? NESBA has dates at beaver on June 12th and 13th.... pick one of these two dates and get ready to ride with NESBA. At least now you can't say that you have never won anything:D

  3. First of all, I would like to apologize for not getting the winners posted up sooner. I had a little Highside at Road Atlanta on the NESBA weekend on April 2nd and 3rd. Since then, I've been in a little bit of pain and also underwent surgery on my wrist, this caused me to miss a good amount of work and I have been playing catch up since.

    Now onto the winners:

    Saturday: SchmuckGirl

    Sunday: brn6604

Congratulations to the winners, you have been sent a PM and you need to respond to me as soon as possible to claim your free day

    BeaveRun Motorsports Complex:

BeaveRun's North Track is ideally suited to high performance driver training, racing of all types, vehicle demonstrations and testing. The track is 1.53 miles in length and has 12 turns. With a layout that flows over hilly natural terrain, the course offers exciting elevation changes and several blind-entry turns that challenge the abilities of drivers and riders alike.

In order to enter the raffle please post the following in this thread:

    1. Type "I WANT TO DO A TRACKDAY WITH NESBA"

    2. Are you a current nesba member?

  5. And to counter, I have seen it snow so much and actually get freezing rain to the tune of a 1/4" as late as second week of April...

Point is that what today's weather is has no bearing on what it will be in two weeks.

Today is supposed to be mid 50s. Tomorrow? High of 45... Possible flurries early in the day.

Very true...it did snow in 2008 at Blackhawk...light flurries and very cold. The track didn't call the day but NESBA did and EVERYONE that was registered got a full credit for the event...not just the people that showed up to the track.

Last year in December at Road Atlanta was a similar story...cold and rainy, the track did not call the day but NESBA did and EVERYONE that was registered got a full credit for the day...not just the people that showed up at the track

It's a pretty cool policy and members seem to like it better than being forced to run a trackday in a tropical storm.

  6. I know Blackhawk isn't close to you the members of OR...but I thought I would pass on the deal.

On April 10th and 11th, NESBA would like to invite you to “Experience the Difference”

To encourage you to experience what the club has to offer, NESBA is offering both members and NON members a multi discount of $82.50 when you book April 10th and 11th together. Riders who register for both April 10th and 11th with NESBA at Blackhawk Farms in South Beloit will pay $165 for the first day and get the second day ½ off, so those who take advantage of this special event will be able to ride both days for only $247.50. A NESBA membership will NOT be required for this event and there will be NO late fee.

So what is experiencing the difference?

For the most part, each track day organization is pretty similar. You have the opportunity to ride on a race track with each, each has similar requirements for gear and each has coaches to assist you throughout the day. While there are many similarities, there are also differences, things that set the track day club or track day business apart from their competitors and having these choices means that, in the end, the person attending track days is the winner.

So if you haven’t been to a NESBA track day, haven’t ridden with NESBA for awhile or haven’t done any track days at all and want to find out what they are all about then we invite you to join us at this special event and experience what makes NESBA different from other track day organizations.

Due to limited space available for this event, NESBA will be running this special offer until April 2nd or until the event fills, whichever comes first. In the interest of fairness, current NESBA members registering for this date will receive the same discount and all those that are currently registered for this event have had a credit for the difference between what they paid and this special offer placed in their account.

So what do you have to lose? You get a great price for two track days, there is no commitment to NESBA in the form of purchasing a membership and you get to spend some time with us and find out what makes NESBA a great organization to do track days with.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do NOT have a membership you can obtain a FREE membership number needed to register for events by going here --> https://www.nesba.com/User/Register.htm Once you have registered for an account, click on EVENT REGISTRATION and click on April 10th and 11th and add them to your cart.

Don't forget to go in and edit your profile and enter in your emergency contact information, bike and bike number, etc. If you have a great time and enjoy riding with NESBA, you can register for a membership at the same page by clicking on MEMBER REGISTRATION.

  7. 1.Is this going to be you making the call or Patty making the call?

2.Will the credit be through NESBA for any of your events or will it be for Mid-Ohio only?

3.How long is the credit good for?

    1. If we have not rolled a wheel on the track and Mid Ohio calls the day - you get a credit. If NESBA calls the day - you get a credit. The credit is for ANYONE registered for the day REGARDLESS of whether or not you are in attendance.

Example: It rained at Road Atlanta at the last event of the year. Road Atlanta did NOT call the day...NESBA called the day because the rain was bringing a small amount of debris onto the track. NESBA viewed the track as being unsafe to ride so we cancelled the day at 11AM and everyone that was registered got credit for the day whether or not they were in attendance and NESBA ate the cost.

    2. The credit will be through NESBA for any NESBA event in the U.S.

    3. One year from the date issued.

Hope that helps clarify things for you. The questions about rain policies seem to be everywhere, I see you explaining the same things to someone on the WERA board.

  8. Sounds like they run a tight ship. I think that is very important as a lot of people take for granted how dangerous what we are doing out there could actually be.

I have always been impressed with STT and think they do a great job but it sounds like I'd be pretty happing riding with NESBA as well. Only downside I see is that the membership is expensive in comparison.

edit: Redkow covered what I wrote, we posted at the same time

  9. The "buy a membership and get $25 back" offer will be ending soon.

    Some membership benefits:

Free Entry into events for everyone - Bring yourself or bring 50 people..its still $0

Free Camping at tracks that allow camping - No camping at Putnam :(

Rain Insurance - If we don't ride...you get a credit for the day

Crash Insurance - If you crash before lunch and YOU can't ride or your bike is not rideable - you get a partial credit for the day and a full credit for the next day if you booked two days. For NESBA it doesn't matter if you pre registered or post registered at the event.

Mechanical Insurance - Mechanical problem with your bike? same deal as the crash insurance

These are perks you just don't get with other organizations.

If you want great membership benefits...then come out and ride with us at one of our FIVE Putnam weekend dates. :D

Keep an eye on our schedule too...a very special event should be posted within the next couple of weeks.

  10. A WEEKEND at Road America for $295.00!!

I asked Bob if we could do a special in the beginning of the season for the Midwest...he came back with a Road America weekend for under $300!! $155 x2 = $310 - $15 multi day = $295.00

If you have ever thought about riding Road America...this is the time to do it. This is the only weekend track day at Road America for the year. This pricing is good for a limited time...the 4/24 - 4/25 weekend and will be returning to the regular price of $185 per day, so if you want to ride Road America on a weekend, make sure you register for the days ASAP.

I would love to see a ton of people register for this day so the next time I go to him for a special....he is all about giving us one. The more people that register for specials like this the better deals I can get us in the future!!:D

  11. Trying to figure out how I can afford that right now !

Lodging: Camping is available at the track.

Description: 4 miles long, 14 turns, THREE long straights. This is considered by many to be the fastest and longest track in the US. Famous for the Carousel, Kettle Bottoms, Canada Corner and the Billy Mitchell Bridge. This track is a ton of fun for those of you who want to open your bike up all the way, and is challenging to ALL levels of riders.

  12. Check out the schedule.....NESBA has secured a WEEKEND at Road America!!!! If you haven't done a Road America track day because they were always during the week...now is your chance to get a full WEEKEND at Road America.

Traditionally, weekend trackdays at Road America have been impossible to get....believe me, we have asked repeatedly.

4 miles...14 turns...2 loooonnnng straights...this track is seriously a ton of fun. If you haven't been to Road America...you owe it to yourself to hit up one of the best tracks in the Midwest.
