    The Gap Trip 08

    alright, awesome twisties.....
  2. I meant my son...duh... he wants to be a firefighter. scarry thought, but if that is what makes him happy... My hubby just said stay away from the 1s and 2s careerfields as far as possible. He is a 2A and hates it. If you plan on getting a good job when you get out (i know you are just getting in :-) ) you will be pretty limited. Also you will be jobbin', which makes it hard to do college while you are working. My hubby said if he could do it all over again, he would stick with the 3 careerfield, which is support. He would be the one handing out towels at the gym and working on his masters degree... I do hope you get what you want though. Everyone has different interest, and AC refueling sounds fun. I was able to fly in a refueler once and was laying in the boom box (?) while refueling F16s...supercool! The Reserves took Spouses up as a incentive flight.
  3. Do you know how far it is from Dayton? The hocking hills are 2 1/2 hrs from here. But, of course have no problems going there, riding is about the journey, not the destination. :-)
  4. Awesome! My hubby is in the AF and my some just swore in last week! He is in the DEP also. What job are you trying to get?
  5. I guess they are for safety, or in some places to fatten the wallets of the counties.. What is NKY???
  6. Hi, hubby and I are new to the area (Dayton). We are looking to explore the area with some good ridin' buddies. I ride a FZ1 Fazer and hubby rides a Bandit 1250. I am German and my hubby has been in Germany for 15 years, so we are used to the faster rides. MmmuaaHAHAHA!!! (too bad they have speed limits here) Where are some good roads with curves and twisties etc...? I am soooo disappointed. I guess you have to go pretty far to get some good ridin' in??? Sure do miss the roads of Germany.. We live in Huber Heights btw! Mel
  7. Hi, hubby and I are new to the area. We are looking to explore the area with some good ridin' buddies. We went on Rustys Memorial ride yesterday and we were the "oddballs". I ride a FZ1 Fazer and hubby rides a Bandit 1250. The ride was ok, but there were only Harleys. There was nothing wrong with that, but the ride was slooooow. Have to mention I am German and my hubby has been in Germany for 15 years, so we are used to the faster rides. MmmuaaHAHAHA!!! Where are some good roads with curves and twisties etc...? I am soooo disappointed. I guess you have to go pretty far to get some good ridin' in??? We did get the flyer for this one also, but I really would like to go with the sport bikes and not the Harleys...:-) We live in Huber Heights btw! Mel
