  1. That is crazy crazy hot.... Civilians do get paid very well in in afgan or iraq. I know that one of my g/f co workers at DFAS (DoD) went over and is getting paid like 200k a year. He is a gs11. Pretty good stuff if you can stand the heat, working 60-70 a week and living in a hell hole. And you don't have any living expenses at all when you are there.

60-70 hour weeks for civilians? Possibile but not normal.

  2. I have a spare clip type link for a 520V. The biggest difference is in the o-ring type, as the one I have is a standard o-ring where you're is different I think. It should still work though.

That is what i'm guessing, that the clips are universal.

Let me know if you could spare the clip.

  3. I think it is something that will be up to you and your wife. I plan on taking my kids in the future to school on the bikes. I already have a mini bike for my kids to race with. BTW, I don't have any kids right now so I play with the mini bike.

I personanliy don't really care what someone else says. From my personal experience, I think that people that gives you their opinion on the street don't have anything going for them or are too narrow minded and not have seen or experienced much in life.

Being asian, I grew up in a time where motorcycles were people's main form of transportation in Korea in the early 80's. I remember my whole family (5) being on the bike all together a couple of times. Was it the safest thing? Probably not. Shit, stuff like this still happens in Asia and in Europe, I'm sure in certain parts of the state. Common thing to see a mom and two kids on a Vespa in Naples, Italy. The traffic is way crazier than anything you will ever encounter in Ohio.

  4. I'd take advantage of the moment and press fit a rivet-link in place of the clip link -- unless this is for a trackbike??

yes, this is for my f4i trackbike.

If u read your chain it will tell you what chain it is. I probably have the link u want in stock. Go rivet link EVERY time!

i'll stop by my storage unit in the next couple of days to see exactly what chains it has.

I didn't realize what i ordered when i built this track bike a few years ago and couldn't return the chain in time before the first trackday with the chains.

it'll be awesome if you could hook me up.

  5. The one shown in the picture is just a universal harley petcock you can find anywhere on ebay....but they will not work anymore for me. ill just be using an inline shutoff instead, for i will have the fuel line running straight from the tank to carbs.

    why won't they work?

i'm asking because the petcock on my 72 yamaha LS2 has a crack on the internal tube, so there is no difference between on and reserve for me. i think the flow also isn't consistent betwen the two different outlets from the petcock to the carbs.

maybe i'll try the straight shot method from the tank to the carbs. any pics or links for the set up?

  6. I went to Indy MotoGP last year and I thought the traffic was a breeze. Mugello MotoGP was horrible. 6+ hours of no movement in a two lane, bi-directional, twisty mountain roads.

After that race, every other event traffic has been nothing in comparison.

anyways, my friend and I plan on going there. I'll keep a cooler with beer in the trunk to hang out in the parking lot until the traffic dies down. I don't mind warm beer.
