  1. Not too long ago last year I remodeled our kitchen and, the cabinet maker does a once / year facebook contest to win back the cost of your cabinets. I'd LOVE to win that - might even mean some new bike goodies if I do :)

Anyway, if you don't mind, I'd love a vote if you can spare the time to do so. Thanks in advance for your help!

You have to 1. like their page 2. go to the above link, and vote for my entry.

My entry looks like the below, and is the only one with a time-lapse video.  Video link here for ease of access to that if you want to see the remodel in 2 mins: http://youtu.be/7kdvLoa2_ks

    My entry looks like this:

  2. Siiiiiiiick. I was just in a dealership talking numbers on one while I had my fiances car in for service. If it wasn't for my entirely too small garage, I may have pulled the trigger

Well, if you're on the fence...I'll let you know after I get the chance to bang some gears what my thoughts are.

I guess there's a price increase that they're rolling out as well.

  3. So, my brother just placed an order for a new C7 corvette. Which, I'm very jealous as they did a really good job with this car.

Anyway, I'm going to at some point convince him to get it on a track to stretch it's legs legally...

My question is, I know mid-O does some open track events and such - but is there a better option I should steer him towards? I don't know much about the cages on track.

    Thanks all!

Oh, this is more or less the car he ordered, but his will be with red calipers, and red interior.

  4. Just sayin'....I think you should remove this link, and never post it again. I say go to your local theater, and buy a ticket to this one.... in the hopes that Mr.Luttrell gets whatever teeny tiny % of the deal he can. (And hopefully some to the families of the fallen)

  5. Grew up right around the corner from the Hilliard location. Made many trips there to drool over new bikes and just check out random cool stuff....EVERY SINGLE TIME i was met with the same D-Bag sales guy who was nothing but a prick.

I never tried to sit on bikes, or even touch them - always had the respect for things like that, but this guy just blew me off and treated me with total disrespect. That I've never understood from sales guys...I'm not touching stuff, I don't have money today - but I might have a lot tomorrow...why not greet me with a smile and tell me to have fun looking - might actually find a lifetime customer in there. Anyway, my $.02.

All that said, having been on the other side of the business owner equation, it churns my stomach to think about a decision to scuttle it like that, and I hope whomever the owners aren't in dire straits as a result.

  6. How can you not be impressed with a bike that will surely handle as well as the 1199, has more HP than the gsxr750 at the ground or a really well built AMA DSB bike, has the sex appeal of the panigale and will sound glorious?

The weight is only 11 pounds heavier than the 1199 and few would even notice.

What would make the bike impressive?

I'm tellin ya, I think I could possibly cut faster laps on the 899 than 1199...

Desmo, since you're clearly on your game with the race side....a question, will the dual swingarm present a benefit to both bikes, if interchangeable (would it be strong enough for the power difference? And, i'm not too up on WSBK rules, but since the dual's in production on a smaller machine - would they then allow of sub of that part to the 1199 in that series? Just would love to see Checa (or Hayden ;) ) back up front in that series.
