Working on the Railroad leaves me with a pretty "unschedulable" schedule...and weekdays are sometimes better than weekends. So...with that in mind... Anybody wanna ride tomorrow? Columbus area down to SE Ohio...via the curviest roads we can find? Post up if interested. BTD.

In a nutshell: Rode from Ironton, OH to Jacksonville FL(2 days). Stayed in Jacksonville for one day to refresh. Left Jacksonville at 4AM, rode I-10 and I-8 straight across to San Diego, CA. We'd alternate between paying for gas...drank nothing but water, ate nothing but Snickers(one would shop while the other would fill bikes). We'd use the bathroom when we stopped for gas too(and I'd smoke). Other than gas stops, we only stopped once...Western TX for a 45 minute nap, in full gear, at a rest stop, in the grass. 38hrs., 27min. Coast to Coast. We flew home and shipped the bikes back due to my schedule(I only had a week off). The only thing I regret is not riding home. I was on my '99K1200RS, my bud was on a '98R1100RT. BTD.

Its true. Brendan...starter of Stromtrooper...just didn't have the time or desire to deal with the site anymore. I don't think much has changed though...still lots of good people on that site...such as myself:) BTD.

If I could find a similar paying job...I'd be out in a heatbeat...but having no formal education(my degree was 8yrs in the Marine Corps)...finding a good paying job is tough...and leaving one is stupid... BTD.

I miss it at times...it was a pretty classic bike...but NO POWER!!! I always did miss my '99 K1200RS, but the Connie is slowing making me miss it less. BTD.
