Depends what we mean by RIDING. Mid 30's or better I may go out for an hour spin. At 50ish I will actually go for a real ride and enjoy it. At 70 or better it's flip flops and a wife beater and my best pair of Oakleys

sounds like a great plan. I am putting new tires on the bike Thursday so that will give me a good chance to scrub them in before the group ride.

Ill be riding out from Lakewood at around 10:30. A little bit early but I have a meeting at work at 9am and there is not much point in going back home. If anyone wants to meet up in Lakewood and ride out let me know.

I really do appreciate his explanation and thank him for coming on here. I guess we need to wait till he gets the pads and examines them. Hopefully Matthias will come back on let us know what he finds....

Really? Seriously? You are saying the pad material did not separate from the backing plate as seen in the picture above? I understand you need to CYA but seriously? I do agree that the pads should have been replaced but that is still no excuse for the unbonding that took place. I have been wrong before and ill be wrong again but damn if that does not look like separation to me.

I am looking for a civilized pace as well. I will also try and load the route in my GPS. So that we are on the same page.....could you post a link to the route we are going to use again?

4 days to go and it is looking like a beautiful weekend to ride. We have some route ideas thanks to lost18888 but no one has stepped up to be the ride "leader". Not sure we really need one but it would be nice to have someone to follow who knows the roads out that way. Anyone willing to step up to make this ride even better than it already will be?? I spend some time over at advrider.com and yea, the BMW's do seem to have lots of small gremlins and a few bigger ones. Guess maybe the BMW quality is a misnomer when the subject is bikes. Of course the guys over at ADV do use there bikes pretty hard in nasty conditions.
