VFR800 or a later model FZ1.....Triumph Sprint..... Something SPORT tour. Would also consider a Blackbird or a Busa....So basically something reasonably fast and comfortable that does not have a ton of miles and is clean
Serious??? yes.....I test rode the bike but until you can put a few hours at a time in the saddle you just don't know. I am not a sport bike newbie by a long shot and have had many uncomfortable sportbikes in the past but as I get older and my injuries rack up what would have worked just a few years ago no longer does. A few years ago the ergos would not have been an issue. oh well.
Still Available...... $5,500 firm or cool trades. New rubber, oil and pads. Service manual, rear seat and rear cowl included. Clear title and no surprises...... Mothers day is coming up. Buy your sweet heart a sweet bike
Being the devils advocate here...... Biased? It was pretty clear by the video that many (most?) were breaking the speed limit and passing on double yellow's a lot of the time. Thats fact and the general public has no tolerance for our type of fun. We can call it biased or bull shit or whatever but fact is fact. Us sport riders break laws and push the envelope. Fact is fact. We should not get our panties in a wad when we get called out on it.
I am trying to weigh out the options......2 bikes or a wife and home????? Hmmmmmm I am maybe working on a deal for a 05 VFR. Keep your fingers crossed I can work it out.
Very little room above the bars for any real mods without hitting the fairings and this bike is just way to nice to start chopping on. Trust me I thought about it....
I have had a couple Ducati 900ss 's as well. A 91 and a 93. They were so much fun but as they say hindsight is 20/20. I wish I could recall how the ergo's compare to the RC..........
I had a 1996 VFR750 for a while and it was a sweet bike and I would be very satisfied to find another. I think a clean injected VFR would actually be my #1 choice.
The bike is thrilling and a joy for the first hour but I realize I will never be able to ride her from here in Cleveland down to the Southern roads and back home. Just isn't going to happen. After 2 hours my hands are numd to the point where I cant feel the levers. I have had a few nasty wrist injuries in the past few years and that may be part of my issues....
