  1. I was exiting off 270 east getting on 315 north. There was a bunch of gravel in the middle and right side of the lane. And gravel, I mean small but large pieces. As soon as i saw them i braked a little bit just to obviously reduce speed let off the breaks and then i went to the left and couldn't make the turn still so I kept going straight and I was in grass and then the rear wheel went out from under me and I let go and got up lol. I was wearing my helmet, race gloves and boots and my cortech latigo 2 piece suit. The leather has small scraps but still usable. But money I've spent so far.

  2. here's the damage. in some of the pictures it looks like fluid got on the bike, but it didn't. no leakage:

  3. You couldn't have stood the bike up and said it just died on the freeway? Ran out if gas? I mean, if you told the trooper you laid it down then you kinda deserve the ticket....

I wasn't saying I didn't deserve it, but it's stupid but fair statement of failure to control vehicle. I should have told him hit died and the scratched were there from my track day I did monday. But as soon as i told him, i was like fuuccckkkk, i should have said that! instead

  4. i don't know if they have to call. But i was on the off ramp to 315 N from 270 E. So i was in the middle of that weird triangle. other wise I would have got out of site. I was so close but far from a safely walking my bike zone. It could have been worse. Thankfully my knee is only swollen from hitting the ground(thank god for full leathers) I will always wear that shit from now on no matter how far i'm going. But the way I look at this now, is it's a good project for me to really know my bike and obviously fix what needs to be fixed and make it track ready like I want. My battery died on my camera so I'm charging that. But I'll post pics here shortly.

My only issue with the whole thing, which I guess makes sense, but I slide. Got up picked it up and 10 minutes later two fire trucks come over. No ambulance. They ask me if i'm ok, have me take deep breathes and ask me if I want to go to the Hospital and I said no. So then they left. I was really surprised by that.

THE ONLY REASON I got that ticket is because a state trooper was driving by and saw me so he was checking on me and yeah lol which I do appreciate, but was also like fuck.

  5. So I finally laid my bike down. Of course it was after my track day on Monday. Called AAA and they won't get me because my plan doesn't cover motorcycles apparently and fire trucks came and checked me out and left. So I called a tow company because of course when I need something none of my friends are willing to help me out. So Im Just sitting here waiting lol

Bike won't start and I added some more scratched. It's not as bad as I thought. It will be a nice winter project and convert to track

  6. Well it looks like I'm going to have a nice five-day weekend the 4th-8th after working almost three weeks straight and it's also my birthday on the 9th, so I've decided to do my first trackday on the 7th! Anyone else going? I'll be running in Novice of course...

I think I've got everything I need... leathers, boots, helmet, gloves, back protecter, and water wetter in the rad. Anything else I need to do to the bike besides take off the mirrors and tape the lenses? Tires are Conti Sport Attacks with about 1000 miles on them. Seems to be very little wear on them. I think I'm going to get new brake pads too.

I'm getting pretty excited for this... just worried I'll wreck.

that's all you need for novice. nothing special. Just go in open minded and relaxed. You'll have a blast. I've done 4 track days in novice and every time it gets better and better.

they will tell you this during your classroom sessions but when you're out there if you don't feel comfortable at a certain pace, don't go that fast, go at YOUR OWN SPEED that's comfortable for you.

oh yeah, have fun with it! it's fucking awesome. I'd go, but I'm getting ready to move to philly so i'm going to be broke by then

  7. I didn't see the girl lowside on the 175, just saw the dust cloud in the background coming out of turn 1. My dad was sitting up there when it happened. didn't seem like too much or little damage. She was mad at herself though. My dad was telling me some of the stuff she was saying, it was pretty fun.

I was right behind bdbgoalie when he crashed his gixxer. Kind of freaked me out at first considering his bike flipped and tumbled a couple times in a matter of a second. Thankfully there were no red flags then and when we came around he was ok and off the side. I talked to him later and he said the pace was a little to quick for him and he was just trying to keep up.

  8. Man that was a seriously great day today! I should've checked the forum because I know I saw a bunch of guys there. I was in garage 15, black/red CBR954 #13. Not too many crashes either, though that R1 did get wadded up pretty bad...

I was next to you in garage 16 with the daytona

  9. Yeah, the weather was awesome! I was cold whenever I didn't have my leathers on. Didn't notice it much on the track though.

What bike was grapesmuggler's? The only bikes I saw were the GSXR, which I witnessed that crash as i was right behind him, or was it the Yami R1? I think, too many pieces for me to make it out

  10. ^ what blue said.

It will be different every time though. for example, my first track day when we went over body positioning one of the instructors put his bike on a stand and we all sat on it and practiced proper body positioning going through a turn and straights. The last couple times I've gone, That didn't happen. I'm assuming it was because there were like 40 people in the entire novice group. where as the first time there was about 20 people in the entire novice group.

  11. I've only done Mid Ohio course, not moto series. So i'm leaning one way, but sure they are similar.

I've done 3 about to be 4 track days in novice. It's awesome. You learn so much about your bike but not just that. you. you go out with an open mind and get hands on experience and get tips on how to improve your skills as a rider. People say that doing track days don't improve your everyday riding on the street. I think that varies from person to person. Me, doing track days at Mid Ohio has made me more confident as a rider. Although, i'm losing interest in the street and want to do all track riding. But I'm too poor for that at the moment

When you go to the the track, ask questions! don't be scared too! The instructors are there to help. Someone posted a video on here from a person that did a track day in Marietta, Alabama. The video basically describes a track day than any of us can word.

haha yeah man, you have to work with what you have. So I'm an easy member to spot. Plus I have a saacattack sticker on it too.

  13. Yes sir. My first track day was may 14th and I did one in early June too. Started settling in and smoothing out so now I'm hooked.

Maybe this time I'll actually get on the track and not have a coach bounce my tail up and down while I make engine noises in the pit lane:D

Hahaha. I think we've met already. I think I offered to share my garage with you. If you remember the guy who put his bike in the mini van, that was me!

  14. I'll be there on Monday. Fat kid on a black Busa riding in novice.

I'll be in novice as well. i'll be the really skinny guy on a scorched yellow daytona 675

you weren't there back in may were you?

  15. I'll be there on Monday.

You could save yourself a bunch of money and not move into Pennsylvania. There's nothing good there anyways.

haha yeah I know. It's the state I hate the most and of course I live at the complete opposite fucking end of it:mad: But the woman is going to med school so I can't complain. But I will be there monday!
