  1. Let's agree to disagree. I don't have that faith in people like you do. Hell 99% of riders always blame the cager in an accident. Thats not true every time is it? Probably not even half the time honestly. A lot of people on bikes put themselves in a situation where if they were obeying the laws...the car wouldn't have been an issue. Without the cars.... Almost every time a rider does crash the riders blame tires, road conditions, weather, etc....instead of just owning up to their own riding mistakes. Hell even the professionals do it. Videos prove it to em no matter how much they can think otherwise. It helps us all learn from everyone's mistakes not just our own. As for the ridicule thing I was just making a light hearted situation out of a simple mistake. Its always funny once ya know everyone came out OK in the end.
  2. This is why everyone on two wheels should have a camera. So we can all ridicule each other on our riding mistakes and then we can also learn from the mistakes. Mainly just for the ridicule though. I have my 3 mph crash somewhere will have to find it. Rear brake noob mistakes.
  3. Oh and here are some damage pics. There's a Deals Gap trip happening this weekend and if anyone can help we're having trouble finding a stator cover and a clipon. I think he said his Rim shows up Tuesday. He's already paid into the trip and the rest of us would hate for him to miss it. Anyone have any stock parts laying around?
  4. Just wrong body position and bad maintenance throttle. Intersections this time of year are sketchy to begin with so adding a couple rider errors to the apex of one is always risky
  5. Oh and I forgot to point out I hated my HJC's. lol. Does anyone here have the new HJC Spies Replica? I see they improved some things but still not sure....the Spies Replica looks amazing though.
  6. Oh? Where's that? I admitted it's pros and cons...you seem to be the one in denial. Bring up your half together Arai that costs the price of an HJC just to fix. Still no complaints of course because it's top Notch Arai . I also love my Arai. They both have their faults. There is no perfect helmet. If there were there wouldn't be so many damn brands out there and so many people buying them up and arguing over which is best. Right?
  7. Hey now! I love my AGV...It's all positive when I compare it to my Arai and even has a couple things that one up it. For example the sketchy side pods...they aren't there. No one will admit it but they cause more of a problem than a convenience for a full paint scheme. I know mine and yours did. The shields are $30 cheaper than Arai and come with tear off posts and 3 tear off's. Nice Suprise. Also, there aren't any clear vents that discolor over time and look like shit. They're painted with the helmet. I think Suomy does it too. Anyway the negatives are still there...the orange on my Dreamtime faded the first summer. Sure I was riding a ton as I was laid off so it was in the sun anytime it was out, but it still shouldn't have faded at all. It's ok because now it's just more yellow. haha. The only interior material that self destructed was the neck roll from me taking it on and off with my sandpaper head. lol. Not good for any fabric. And it's a $12 part anyway. Fine by me. One bad thing you didn't mention is that the decals started to bubble?! WTF! AGV offered to replace it free of charge but I know it would just happen again so what's the point...I'll just keep mine. Buy one! Preferably the Rossi Replica Ducati Test Helmet Size medium...and if you don't like it I'll buy it off ya at Half Price.
  8. Well in that case nevermind the Otterbox...you need one of these...
  9. I got an otterbox for my Evo at the sprint store. I love it. Especially seeing that all the other cases don't cover up the ports and let them fill with dust and lint. Anyway it was worth it and the screen protector also is nice since it's like a hard plastic..not stretchy and can be rinsed off and reused multiple times. I've tested it out quite a few times now by dropping it, never on purpose but ya know...it works. Check at the company you go through...Verizon or whatever to see if they have them in stock. Call around.
  10. If it's for the iPhone I've seen them at WalMart's
  11. Yeah I kinda blame the last ones on the weather. We weren't really going fast enough to show any sense of speed. Not enough lean angle, kinda just cruising. They should be better this time with the dry runs we had
  12. I was only trying to get everyone on the video to be fair. Thanks for being a good sport and letting me pass
  13. Just so everyone knows. I've got the GoPro HD Motorsports Hero mounted on the chin of my helmet. Also I had it running in 720p so I can have good quality and more footage at the same time. It worked out well.
  14. Wooohooo! That's me in the Yellow shirt! Wooo! Those dry sessions were great!
  15. That's the same thing that happened to me. I waited to see if there was a April discount and then I ended up paying the $150. No coupon and no April discount plus late fee. Didn't think to email him...what's his email? See if maybe I can get some sympathy and credit for the next track day or some money back.
  16. I had my first track day in the rain. It's actually ok because the pace is slower so you can focus more on getting to know the track, throttle control, etc... The rain predicted then was 100% chance and we still did 4 out of 7 sessions. This Sat is predicted like 50% chance so I'm guessing we'll run all 7. Sign up for the instructional man and let's go.
  17. I'm in for instructional again but may bump up to open. Is there a list for people going so far? And what groups they're in?
  18. I agree with you 100% It was a great weekend. As for the video it's all converted plus some footage my friends got on our last session from track side. (which I still haven't even seen!) He's gonna try to edit it all together to make at least one good lap of it. Getting stuck behind some slower traffic and with the sketchy conditions the vids aren't as exciting as they could've been. I guess that's what May is for though! This video will just be a practice run as he has to get used to the editing software too. So you know...he showed up 4 hours late to the track day...so who knows how long it will take him to edit it all together. I'd do it but laptop isn't capable of editing the 1080p video. I'll definitely keep you posted...
  19. Sorry...I didn't know you were so happy with the track day. All I heard from you so far was Get over it
  20. Wow...enough with the vague analogies. If you are this pissed just don't go anymore. The majority of the people there had a great time and learned a lot. There has only been replies talking about everyone bending over backwards to try and make it better. This is life...sometimes it isn't fair. Here's an analogy...you order a Pizza...it sucks. The pizza place offers you one at a discount. You say...sure...but it still sucks. Are you just gonna get another one and keep bitching? Or get your pizza somewhere else? GO Somerwhere else!
  21. Ok thanks. Is Todd on here or do I contact him through the track contacts. (Motoseries or Nelsons Ledges?)
  22. Yeah I'm fine with that...I'm not saying be a crazy on the streets either. I'm always down for a track day...as long as I can afford it. The appeal to Deal's Gap isn't how fast you can go...it's about how many damn turns you can take back to back before you have to take a break because your legs are tingling. Hell you can go the speed limit through some sections and almost drag knee. I love that road. It's fun going slow, going fast, whatever. The point is...to hang out with friends...enjoy the road for a day or two and have fun. Not race. I love them both equally for their own reasons. Sorry I went off topic, but back to the trackday at Nelson's... I had a great time at Nelson's...A lot of the Instructors were great and some really interesting things to say. I recommend it to anyone that is still thinking about it. I do know that because we were cut short for weather we missed out on a lot. pretty much a half day. Still had a blast. So I imagine a whole day in the sun would be amazing! It felt good being in the fastest group and seeing the excitement in the instructors faces that we were going to up the pace. They were like kids! I'm sure we were too! Oh and I do wanna mention that Nelson's is not "too bumpy" and it has a lot of grip with the exception of turn 3 and turn 13. (only felt the front and back move a lil bit in 3 and 13 was just bumpy and wet so didn't bother to test it for grip) Anyway...overall great birthday weekend for me! Can't wait to get back in that gear and do it again....crossing the fingers that the gear will be dry by that time and the sun will be out!
