same thing i thought but i cant find one on the bike or on wiring diagrams. I think it has jumped time. It blows through the carbs and sucks through the exhaust. -

I am workin on a friends 01 R6 . I cleaned the carbs, new plugs, fresh gas, good fuel pressure. Turns over fine, but just won't start. Backfires once and a while. I guess he let someone borrow it, the guy dropped it at a stop sign, broke the brake handle, and wouldn't start. I've checked all the wiring and everything checks out. To me the only thing that's left is would be the cdi box right. Can you have them tested? Help me out.

Don't forget the early 80s Honda Sabre. It was also named fastest production bike available at the time. "(They forgot to say they were like riding a half ton fence post.) But still carried the title.

sorry I wasn't able to get together with you guys. Plans got changed around little bit. Been busy working on family bikes. Gotta get their bikes going too. Bout finished with all that. As soon as the weather breaks again, I'll be terrorizing Columbus again.

I feel the same way. I was planning on using a bar end bolt with the rubber stopper shaved to the stem size. Got one comin from ebay. I'll post pics when done.

I'm Brian. I'm looking to meet sportbike enthusiasts around Columbus. I do all my own wrenching, I wouldn't trust anyone else to touch my bikes. I quess I think there's always room for improvement, so I have to have a creative outlet, and I found that in motorcycles. I am very social and outgoing. I just dont have any friends who can afford my level of toys. They suck!!! Any questions feel free to ask. I'm ShallowGraves. I live in Columbus, and have noticed there is not a big sportbike crowd. So anyway I just picked up my 03 R1 and plan on going on as many group rides as possible. Looking for like minded individuals who share the same interests.
