Well, I seem to be in the minority here, but I'll throw in my two cents anyway. First of all, I'm completely against it. I think that any time you make it legal to discriminate it's a bad idea. The whole purpose of this law is that if someone 'looks' like their here illegally then they can be questioned. It's just legalizing harassment. Second, just because you're not part of the group doesn't mean that you shouldn't care about whether or not it's violating their rights as a person. If you don't stand up for them, who's going to stand up for you if you ever need support. First they came for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up, because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak up for me. -Martin Niemoller (1945)
