I've moved back to California and picked up a bike here, so the CBR isn't getting any use. I can't just give it away, but it's a great bike at a fair price. No games or catches, this bike needs a new home. I'm going to post it on craigslist tomorrow if I don't get any interest on the forum.

I'm listing my 2005 CBR 600RR for sale, I am the second owner and possess the title in hand. This was originally a California bike that I bought in the Bay Area, when I moved I brought it with me to Ohio. The title is clean and the bike has never been dropped or crashed. Just over 9,000mi on the clock. Plastics are all original however decals have been removed. The tail has a scuff across the top and there are a few imperfections but nothing unusual. The bike has flush side-mount turn indicators and an integrated tail lamp. I have added lights to the license plate bracket under the tail. Exhaust is all stock and so is the suspension (2005 was the first year of inverted front forks on the 600RR). The tires have adequate life in them, the rear having been replaced 2 years ago (Michelin Pilot 2CT front and rear) due to a puncture. The battery is also approximately 2 years old with very few charge cycles on it -- maintained on a tender. I have woodcraft frame sliders to go along with the bike that have not been installed. Hope they make it through. If it's too hot to wear gear, it's too hot to ride. Still rather sweat than bleed, and I would never put my girl on my bike without full gear.

Still here. I stay away from that Taco Bell and high street in general while on my bike. 315 is a cluster now that the construction started...not going to be flying anywhere from campus on 315.

+1 for the V1, I've been using one since 2006 and it's still awesome. Hardwired it into the sunroof in my cage. I feel it was a good investment. My advice is to speed intelligently, always scanning ahead for LEOs, and using others as blockers. I love it when some wannabe badass is flying in the #1 lane because I can cruise a safe distance behind and wait for the V1 to light up. The best way to beat the instant-on is a rabbit/blocker ahead of you, and the best way to beat laser is to watch for brake lights ahead!

So true. There seems to be a plethora of idiots driving around here. I watched a CABS bus run a clearly red signal at Kenny and Woodruff this evening...in front of a police cruiser. The officer watched it happen, I saw him follow the bus with his head (and supposedly there are eyes in his head). He did nothing.

2008 Putnam County, West Virginia 74 in a 45 (I cannot verify this speed because I wasn't looking down at the speedo) All I know is that I was riding to work, decided to pass two cars before the 4 lane changed to 2. I had time to signal, change lanes, pass, and signal again and get over without incident. Apparently the sherriff's deputy didn't like me or my California plates and I was berated on the side of the road for a good 10 minutes, in full gear at 7:30am. Hired the best lawyer in the county, paid $1200, and knocked it from a reckless to a speeding violation and $150 fine. WV tightened the reckless driving law a few years back, I learned, to protect motorcyclists. Ironic. Apparently everyone in that county is aware that my particular deputy is a real ass, so I just paid up and moved on. Points were never added to my Ohio license.

Bout f*ing time they put this in effect. Now we'll see how Johnny Law does with the enforcement. This is a step in the right direction. I still think handsfree is marginally better than talking with the cell, though studies say otherwise.

Just a heads up, I didn't see any specific speed trap forum: Sighted Wednesday, April 21 around 1pm. Beware the LEO on the S. Hamilton Rd overpass shooting laser at I-70. My V1 didn't go off at all so I almost guarantee the chimp was using LIDAR, luckily I was just cruising around 70mph in my cage. I'm a little unsure, but I thought it might have been a bike cop. I'm also unsure of what agency it was because I couldn't see a logo from that distance. There were no other patrol cars ahead to indicate a speed trap, but I assume it would be easy for him to get on I-70 from that location. Be safe out there.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum but not to riding. Took my MSF in California back in '08 and then came back to Ohio State for grad school a few months later. It's crazy, but my moto insurance premiums actually rose when I came back! My riding style is pretty relaxed and I'm always trying to improve my skill to grow into my bike. I used to ride through the San Mateo Mountains to Alice's restaurant with my buddies, those roads were great to learn on. I also had a 150cc scooter in Taipei, Taiwan for about 3 months last year and that was pretty crazy traffic-wise. You can probably find me around OSU somewhere, my CBR is all black.
