  1. when do I bag on STT? I have had 2 bad experiences with STT that I can think of, and I disagree with allowing anyone and their brother to sign up in Advanced group, but I don't believe I've ever (seriously) insulted STT as an organization. I've certainly joked about it, but I have also posted "NESBA sucks" before.

I have never had anything but positive experiences with STT's staff, and i routinely recommend their Novice program for first-time track riders, and talked about the negative experience I had as a first-time rider in NESBA's "B" group.

I understand where you're coming from regarding advanced group. We've made it a point to weed out those that are clearly not advanced riders starting last season. I noticed an improvement already this year based on customer reviews/feedback. This is the first time I've mentioned what we've been doing in the midwest regarding this. There are pros and cons to doing it our way and the way nesba does their A group riders. Our stance on A group is the rider MUST be predictable, able to handle a fast pace (not ride a fast pace but handle being passed close and fast), and be consistent. Obviously, you cant have someone so off pace that they are a danger to themselves or other riders.

Ultimately, it is really a personal preference where you like to spend your money. Honestly as long as it's on the track it doesnt matter where you spend it. If it werent for STT and Nesba (predominantly-not bagging on other orgs nesba and stt just happen to be the largest in midwest) a LOT of guys would be trying to ride on the street like it were a track day. Part of the reason I devised this program is because of an accident involving a bike that I dealt with. Suffice it to say the rider lost...

Hopefully you'll come back out and we'll win your patronage.

  3. Be careful. Nick is a bit of an asshole, he forces people to take ambulance rides :D

If I'm not leaving for vacation that day, I may just put my track bike back together and make it out. It's still in pieces from my trip to ACC last fall.

that nick guy is such a toolbox

sorry to hear the bike is still in shambles, but you're ok though, right?

That takes care of most of my issues, but I cake on the foundation. I digress...

5'10" 135lbs  You should worry about getting food before you worry about holsters!

    .

Props for not only being sarcastic and pointing out malnutrition but all on the first response

    well done sir, well done

    :bow::lol:

  5. two friends hanging out

f#1) dude! guess what?! Im going to thailand on vacation!

f#2) really! that's awesome. Did you know you can have sex with 15 yr old girls there and it's LEGAL!!

F#1) Bro, the fact that it's illegal here isn't what keeps me from doing it.

At this stage of the game and doing what I do for a living this really comes as no surprise

  6. I practice dry drills with my kid all the time. My 7 yr old is on the ball and can even name the parts of a firearm. We did drills LONG before we ever went to our range (I have a make shift range on a family farm) and fired a single shot. If you teach them right from the start you won't have issues like that occur.

My step son learned in a simliar fashion but was older. He kept putting his finger on the trigger during dry practice. I solved the problem by stabbing him in the hand with a fork after telling him twice. He's good to go now...he only uses spoons due to the mental trauma, but at least he wont accidentally discharge a gun LOL (I kid about the spoon part)

  7. I know this is thread jacking, so please forgive me, but if you guys want I'll put a deal together for our Nelson Ledges date at the end of June.

If someone wants to be the head honcho and coordinate a Nelson date (a go to guy for OR members) I'll comp him/her the weekend as part of the deal. Coordinating stuff like this is a huge pain so who ever does it should be rewarded IMO.

    thoughts?

  8. I didn't read the whole thread so excuse me if I seem stupid if someone else from STT responded.

I will waive membership fees for Grattan ONLY if 5 or more attend the date you guys want.

Please let me know who will be the coordinator and the final decision so I can let the gals know in the office to ensure it's smooth operationally when you purchase.
