  1. No, I didn't know that - we will be leaving Columbus early Saturday, spending a few days in Charlotte, then off to Myrtle in the morning, a day of fun, spend night, another day of fun and back to Charlotte, another day or two and come back to Columbus.  Whew - that's going to be enough, I think

  2. So, I'm going to be packing up the kids and heading to Charlotte for a few days in 3 weeks to visit my folks (not taking the 900 - boo)

I was thinking I would head out from there to a fun family activity for a couple more days, but I've never done the Myrtle/HH thing.  Anybody have other ideas for activities in VA/NC/SC?  If I do the Myrtle/HH thing, where should I stay and how much should I expect to spend?  Charter a boat for some fishing?

  3. Interesting that one would think that any SIG that isn't the 1st generation is a bad gun. I have a stainless slide NH Sig that shoots 2 inch groups or less at 25 yards, and has not jammed once. All 229's for that matter have the stainless slide to withstand the .40 round. Just clarifying any misconceptions of the Sig, with that said I haven't seen a bad Sig yet.

I've heard some complaints about the modular P250 - supposedly, after a change in management. Not sure if that is still the case.

And the P226 and P228 slides are stainless, too - but they were initially stamped then milled (9mm) - vs. the milled slide introduced with the P229 (for the higher pressure .40) - now I think they are all milled from a solid chunk.

  4. Already said it on FB, but I'll reiterate...Glad you survived. And I say again, buy it back, set it for track and get you a Tuono for the street....or a falco...or an ST4....it's a great feeling burning through some twistys on the way to the grocery store ;-p

  5. Not trying to troll - who uses a GPS now that everybody has a smart phone? I'm not saying that I don't use one - in the last year, I've bought a Garmin and a TomTom - one was $20 and the other was halfway through the garage sale, so it was $12.50. Gave the Garmin to my folks and keep the TomTom in the tank bag, in case I ever need it..haven't yet.

  6. I've got a he!! of a bike wrenching weekend planned. Thinking about building a table to wrench on, but figured I would pose a question to the group and see if anybody had something I could borrow.

Tearing down a Duc SS for powdercoat, tearing down and reassembling an R1 and general wrenching on a Bonnie, so all brands are welcome!
