  1. The ST4 is maintenance hungry and too much of a burden' date=' in my opinion. Although, they're quite nice when properly tuned and running well. Sweet bikes.

I know a guy that does great Ducati work.. but he's kind of an asshole.[/quote']

HEY!!!! No slamming on the ST4 (says the guy who just got his bike back from Delaware after the rear wheel bearings went out.)

  2. I can't say a bad thing about either bike. I really like the power delivery of a twin, but the FZ1 has a very electric motor feel to it. I'd venture to say any current spec supersport or superbike will slaughter either of them, but if you wanted a racerep, you wouldn't be looking at the fz. The FZ is less fatiguing to ride than the 996, SV1k or the handful of Duc's I've ridden, but it just doesn't seem to have that wow factor after a ride, either.

  3. Ah, that makes sense then...at least as far as the staties. I've got a friend who just had to have his diesel tanks banded and welded for this reason.

Why are the local mounties and county mounties jumping on the bandwagon, though?

  4. I'm still commuting to Delaware everyday from N'Albany and I decided to take the freeway. Hit 270 and lurched to a dead stop. Turns out, a mile up the road, there were 2 county mounties lazing traffic going the other (clockwise) way. Oh, and a rear end collision about .2 miles behind them...I'm sure, caused by somebody not ready for the brakes lights in the fast lane.

Before I get to 71, I see 2 more (staties this time), 5 more on 71 (staties and a CPD) and at least 4 more on 36/37 before I get into Delaware. And of course, 2 locals while I'm rolling through town.

Is something going on that I'm not aware of? The commute took me almost an hour this morning.

Me personally' date=' if a thread doesn't peak my interest I won't even bother opening it :dunno:

Well, the way you put it, I guess everyone here cares what I have to say :dunno: good or bad, doesn't matter to me. I don't care about the neg things people have to say, I'm usually pretty positive here and don't knock people down.

The first part, I call Bull$hit. You chime in on everything!:nono::nono::nono::nono:

The second part? I will have to admit, for the most part, you don't resort to calling names...for the most part. :) BUT, I am sick and tired of opening posts and trying to get real updates and instead seeing 470-hundred posts telling you how stupid and uninformed you are. If you do not have information or do not have experience on the subject, shut up and let people who know chime in.:bitchfight::bitchfight::bitchfight:

  6. I have a crossbreed, and galco thumb break I use to cc

I'm probably getting the crossbreed...I think the Kingtuk and Mtac look better made, but the crossbreed is supposed to be the most comfortable. A nice leather galco OWB is probably going to be my other purchase.

  7. I hear that Sigs are not the quality they used to be.

This is an earlier Sig w/o the rail. It was a CPO LEO turn in. Aluminum frame and CNC Aluminum slide, chambered in .40. Will be my carry, when I can managed to conceal it, or get a holster that will hold tighter to my body. Came with a blackhawk serpa sportster that just doesn't tuck very tightly.

Depends on the model for instance the 250 isn't the same as 229 or a 226. The real metal sigs are the bomb. The Sig pro series (2022 and a couple others) are okay but not on the same level of a 229 or 226. My 225(p6) may become my carry gun it shoots damn nice.
  8. Yup, also can't ride 2 up till the 1y endorsement either I believe.

Incorrect....after you get your endorsement, you can have a passenger, but you and they must be wearing a helmet for one year.

and if I wore a helmet for a year, I'd have some stinky hair.:D:D:D:D
