Good to know, thanks.  We're going to try Beartooth Pass, Glacier Park, Durango Col for their train ride then ride up through Col to Rocky Nat Park, Belt, Mt.  Trying to cram in as much as we can for 2 weeks.  Your post here is an inspiration while looking out at winter....lol.

Looking at your room costs, I assume this is after you guys split the cost of a room?  The wife and I are thinking about a similar trip but the cost of rooms is quite a bit higher....

Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
(b)
Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.”
Yes, it explicitly states "shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States."

Where the house extends out beyond the foundation, is there anyway you can tell if it is insulated?  If not stuffing it with fiberglass might help.  On an old house we had years back I cut strips of 2" dow board (pink or blue) and stuck it up on the outside of the house where I could underneath where the house stuck out from the foundation.  Every little bit helps.

Concerning the sink, is it the pipes freezing?  Used to be builders ran the pipes in the exterior wall coming up from the basement.  Nowadays that's a no no, because of freezing issues.  That can be remedied by re running the pipes straight up thru the floor.  Is there a basement window under the sink area?  If its an old steel framed window they leak a ton of heat.  What about the sill plates, are they all insulated? They should be.

How old are your windows?  Older windows or less insulative windows can cause a house to feel cold and drafty.  That effects the whole house.  For the time being putting plastic over them can really help.

Corners on outside walls quite commonly used to be framed leaving no real room to put any insulation in the corner, or the builders just didn't bother to make sure any small gaps were insulated.  Door weatherstripping in bad condition also helps with the cold and drafty feeling within.

Attic insulation should be a minimum of r-38 iirc.  I like to exceed that by a foot or so.

The house we recently bought has 2 x 8 exterior walls, first time I have lived in a place like that.  Then they put 1" dow board and wrapped the house.  That extra insulation does make a difference.  Never knew how much until now.

LED lights is all I've done to mine so far. Pretty happy w the results for no more than like $30 from eBay. Wanting to put a workbench/cabinet yo front in the v nose area but haven't figured out how yet. Also want to have some kind of a fold out or hanging platform for a small sleeping area that can be out of the way when not in use. Also haven't figured that out yet. Anyone done any add ons like that?

Yeh, carryinbg a ground through a frame like that often fails due to bad connections along the way, ie rust or corrosion of some sort.

bad-I'm setting this up to help hold things down and I figured the sidewall track could hold lighter boxes and so on from falling all over after a 300+ mile trip.  Never done this before, so am hoping for the best.

Got mine for making a move too.  Reinforced the floor with better supports, helped alot.  Walls leave a lot to be desired though.  Putting some track on them too but figure you can't really tighten straps down alot or the wall will give, at least thats the way it feels.

Anyone here installed any of that e track?  Figured on two continuous runs on the floor, and two on each sidewall  Then need to incorporate the 3 chocks on the floor too.  Adding another interior light too up in the front.

I would love a transition shield for my Nolan.  The flip down google thing doesn't come down far enough for me and all the shine from the bike bounces right up under it when riding on a sunny day, and is more bothersome than if the googles were up instead.

I picked up a 7x16 enclosed a few months back.  Got about 90' of e track to install, and a couple of bike chocks to put in.  These trailers sure aren't built to take too much of a beating, eh?   LOL

Never happen for a vast amount of reasons

Clinton only signed the bill into law when he became Prez for the first time.  It was one of those deals where he had no choice as it was sitting on his desk when he took office.  

The whole thing was begun by Reagan but had no reference to the acronym NAFTA.  HW Bush and others took it the rest of the way and left the bill on the Prez's desk for signing.  I'm pretty sure HW thought he was going to beat Bill and that he would be the one to sign it into law.

Anytime I hear about this I think of ol big ears Perot and how he predicted it would be a failure for the US.

Hoping not to start a flame fest - just an innocent question - why not Rubio? He interviews well, seems pragmatic about immigration, doesn't have Bush's family baggage. His trick is appealing to minorities while also not alienating the pasty white party "natives."

I also do not want anymore rino's, but last I heard about Rubio's immigration beliefs were ones I do not believe in.  Maybe he's changed now, to gain more popularity.

Like the last Prez election, one would think that possibly the Rep's had figured out the Dem's were beatable and would forge a gameplan to take them down.  But they didn't then, so I hold little hope the party will ever figure it out.  Instead of creating policy, they tend to 'react' to the Dems so they seem to be a step behind all the time.

Never knew the water quality was a problem there.  WE looked at a couple of places on the lake before buying our current house.  I remember there being a problem with algae because the lake was so shallow so we looked elsewhere.
