  1. Not sure where to post this, but this seems appropriate enough. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWaq0zOaAVU&feature=related That should be the test to get your license in my opinion.
  2. My first bike was a 49cc pocket bike dirt bike with a centrifugal clutch, 2 stroke. Thing was a PoS. I then upgraded to a 99' and 03' XR100R, Honda 100cc dirt bike. Then upgraded to my current bike, 1993 Kawasaki Ninja 250R Some wouldn't call that an upgrade, but whatevz.
  3. Thanks a lot for all the replies, guys. I do realize that my bike is only a ninja 250, and that ninjas aren't as valuable as the other bikes mentioned. Nobody really can tell if it's a 250 or a 500 because it just says Ninja on the bottom fairing and twin cam 8 valve on the side panels, but nowhere a 250R or anything of the sort. Hell, I even thought it was a 500 at first glance. Anywho, I like my bike and it's a lot of fun, very quick and agile. Too bad we can't take advantage of its agility in Ohio because lane splitting is illegal.
  4. Oh okay, don't worry about it then. My girlfriend's dad had an extra helmet laying around he'll sell to me Thanks!
  5. Where do you live? I'd like to come check it out.
  6. The bike is a pretty nice bike and in good condition for its year. It does get attention, but I also doubt someone would want to steal it as well. Just being cautious. You have to take into note that I live in Westerville, which barely has a theft rate. That video is pretty insane but if people saw someone do that, they wouldn't get away with it. What would be the best way to prevent theft if, for some reason, someone decides to take my bike? Is there a way? Do you think the Lock and Padlock would be sufficient enough in my area? We found it at a garage sale, not running, had been sitting for 7 years, and it was $250. We spent money on a new battery, some body filler for the cracked fairing, and just cleaned the fuel systems and made sure the cylinders weren't seized to the wall and put oil in it. It ran, I rode it
  7. I have recently purchased a 1993 Kawasaki Ninja 250 and am constantly paranoid of theft wherever I go where I have to go more than 50' from it for even a short period of time. How likely is it for someone to steal my bike? I put the handlebar lock on all the time whenever I leave it, but have recently started using a Padlock around the rear sprocket and chain so it doesn't move backwards and forwards. Am I overreacting by doing this? Or would you guys say it's generally a good idea to lock my bike? Thanks
  8. Thanks a lot guys for the info and support. I'll definitely be checking it out. Sounds like fun Anything to skip the bike test sounds like a bargain!
  9. I've heard a lot of people talking about the MSF course and wanted to know a bit more about it. How much does it cost and what does it actually do for you? I used to ride dirt bikes for a couple of years and the 250 isn't much more powerful than that so handling the bike isn't a problem for me.
  10. Is the -Vemar Black/Silver – MD – $75 still available?

    New !

Hey there, New here, feels great to be a part of the community. I recently bought a 1993 Kawasaki Ninja 250-F that wasn't running and fixed it up nicely after sitting for years. Bike runs great and I just got my temp license 2 weeks ago.
  12. Hey there, I'd like to check this helmet out if you don't mind. I have a medium dirt bike helmet and I'm sure I look like an idiot riding around with a MX helmet on instead of a street one.
