  1. Here is the best place to find all the info you are looking for.

    http://www.tailofthedragon.com/

If you have a decent sized group i recommend renting a cabin/cottage for a week as that's you biggest bang for your money. I prefer TailoftheDragon: The Ridge and the TwoSistersChalet. Both have hot tubs and garages in case you need to work on the bikes.

The TwoSisters is more relaxed and nicer accommodations but smaller garage and located at the south end of the Foothills Parkway and about 3 miles from the north end of the gap. Not too far from Townsend, Marysville. Alcoa etc.

The Ridge has a nice big pole barn style garage you can easily fit a large number of bikes in with pool table, ping pong and couches..(more party freindly) but it's located farther from stores. Located around 30-40 minutes from the Dragon but also directly on the eastern end of the Charohalla Skyway.

  2. what do you haul just groceries? Need sway from a ridgeline, that isnt even a truck. That eco boost can haul two of those things. Lol your poor little ridgeline can't even haul 1.

You're right I don't drive a truck, I couldn't afford the $45k price tag of a "real truck". So I just drive a $30k car that I can fit two motorcycles in the bed, full tool box and spare parts in the trunk, haul 5 people comfortably, comes with 1500lbs bed capacity or 5000lbs tow capacity and will easily run circles around any "real truck" when it comes to handling the twisty bits like deals gap and still avg 22-24mpg there and back ;) So I guess my comment still stands.. I would have to see some pretty serious gains in the Ecoboost over what I have for the $15K premium.

From what I've read so far the Ecoboost pulling an enclosed trailer at only half the weight it's rated for seems to only get around 8-9mpg avg.. So I wonder what it would get pulling two ridgelines.. maybe 4-5? ;) Hence the reason I'd like to hear some real world numbers. I've also heard it's seen almost 30mpg highway unloaded due the the really tall 6th gear.

  3. what number size are they? I'm pretty sure held uses a number system because they make "in between" sizes. Oh and I'll vouch for the quality.. I've had a set of Akira for 6yrs now and even crash tested them without a single failure.. I slid on the palms for a good 15ft and by looking at them you'd never realize they've gone through that abuse

HELD gloves are fantastic and worth every penny and these are a steal at this asking price IMHO

  4. yeah and you are one of them. How have you been my friend

Been good.. trying to hold out for warm weather to start riding again

Dude, I think you have the widest range of types of bikes I've ever seen. LOL

We all start somewhere, I just happen to have been lucky enough to acquire some of the first bikes I rode..hopefully will be able to restore them at some point. The FJR was my first "sportbike" which directly led me to the R6. Saddly now the FJR rarely gets ridden :(
