Which route? I like ninja docs route... But taking 60-541-79 into Newark to 668.... I'm planning on meeting you guys around killbuck depending on the route.... I'll be 2 up be usually don't have much of a problem keeping pace.
  8. Great write up. I hope to do this one day soon.
  9. I got a speeding ticket in Indiana last weekend. They have an Infraction Deferral Program which allows me to pay a fine and sign a contract. If I do not get any more moving violations for 6 months the points never go on my license and the ticket disappears. If I do get another ticket in that time frame I have to pay for the ticket and the points go on my record. I just have to drive back to sign the paper but is completely worth it.
  10. Shit. Called into work I'm out.

  15. Again, with the money wasted fixing old technology on a "sportbike" just sell it and put the money you were going to spend in a newer bike. SV1k if you want to retry the twin or buy a liter bike. I personally don't see dumping a bunch of money in a bike that Your obviously. It going to keep because you hate it. Buy a Honda.
  16. I guess I should've also included I was very fatigued each fall and pushing harder than I should have been. I dont see his GF doing that. Each fall has resulted in some bruises and a couple scrapes nothing major all though I did leave the bike. All part of the learning process. I could go slow the entire time and never would have fallen but thats not fun But shitty has a good point in that she is a lot less likely to fall on the road....

Not the hoppiest IPA ever.... 103 IBU's which is up there but by no means the hoppiest IPA ever. Carry on.
  18. I did the same thing with the bike I just bought. Its doing the job now but wow its a lot more difficult than I thought. Ive ridden 3 times now in a week and a half. Each time I have progressed a ton but I have fallen pretty good each time. I have beat the shit out of this bike so far and I plan to ride the piss out of the bike I have till fall/winter and then start looking for a better model on craigslist. So far Im loving it and the workout is much more difficult than pedaling around the bike path. If you find a good enough buy then if you dont like it you can sell it and break even...
  19. Id sell it and buy the 06 GSXR Flounder posted. I dont think youll be disappointed one bit. Your going to dump all that money into "upgrades" and other stuff and not see a difference so just move on.
  20. I just bought a mountain bike about 3 weeks ago. Ive have some bike paths through the subdivisions where I live that I have been riding. I have also ridden Alum Creek P1 twice now and plan on going tomorrow morning. I will say I enjoy the challenge of riding the trails much more than riding on the street. Luckily I live less than 10 minutes from two trails so the convenience factor isnt a big deal. I will be looking into a road bike in the future as I could see that being very enjoyable as well. Hidden costs...I bought bike shorts with gel and they help alot. I just upgraded my pedals today as well. You can always ride your mtn bike on the road but not a road bike on the trails. I will say definitely buy a good lower end bike from a good manufacturer...trek, specialized, fuji, giant, etc. I found a 3 month old Specialized Hardrock with disc brakes for $300. The bikes take some abuse on the trails so definitely need/want a better bike. I would also look for something with disc brakes. You could upgrade one with rim brakes but the disc ones are more expensive and you'll want good brakes. Thats my limited knowledge from someone just starting out so....
  21. Edit like this guy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UaAz9F33LQ&feature=plcp or this one... [ame] [/ame]I find helmet mount least shaky other than that its experiment and getting different angles really helps keep it interesting.
