whats your price range? i would say just get any 04+ 1000cc bike and stretch it and you would probably be low 10's maybe better depending on skill and they are a hoot on the street.....
-
get any early 2000's 600 and you'll be happy i made the same switch a couple of years ago.....night and day and i dont think an 650 would be enough of a jump. I got an 01 gsxr 600 for 2500 bucks last year just got to search craigslist all the time and be able to go out that moment the bike pops up cuz good deals go really fast on craigslist.....bought my 1000 2 hours after it popped up for 4k bucks.......and i really dont mind the riding position of supersport bikes i rode over 18000 miles last year on a 600rr/750/gsxr 600......

ya nelson's a tad different than burke lake.......theres a small observation tower and thats about...i've always wondered if there is anyway to view the carousel or other outer parts of the track....im guessing only corner workers are aloud over their

I think BSB is the best motorcycle racing period from a spectator standpoint.....unfortunately the only way to see it is downloading i believe......35 superbikes on 1 mile track.....supersport/superstock/125gp/848 duc cup/sidecars! that what i call a racing serious not to mention the field is stacked full of riders with serious pedigree......
Best bet is to find somebody with a racing underground invite
