  1. I am not sure how many of you are familiar with the Fallen Riders Memorial Fund. ( www.fallenridersmemorialfund.com ) Their Mission Statement say is all: Every year thousands of bikers in Northern Ohio, Texas and all over America, hit the roads to ride for their favorite charities, it's the bikers way of giving back to their community, and helping those families that are in need ,in our area. But sadly, when a biker loses his ,or her life in a motorcycle accident , the fallen riders family has no one to turn to, to help them with any financial needs they may have, at this most difficult time in their life's, until now! The FALLEN RIDERS MEMORIAL FUND was created to give IMMEDIATE financial assistance to these families , after they have lost a loved one in a motorcycle accident. The money we are able to give to these families will help them with bills, buy food, or to help cover some of the funeral , or medical expenses of their lost loved one. The Fallen Riders Memorial Fund was founded on January 1st 2004. The Memorial Fund was formed to help all Motorcyclist families and Motorcycle clubs, in; OHIO All counties North of,and including Drake, Shellby, Logan, Union, Marion, Morrow, Knox, Holmes, Tuscarawas, Carroll, and Jefferson. CyclesandBabes.Com is a 2011 sponsor for the fund. We have created a custom calendar, poster and bumper sticker combo to sell to help us raise funds for the sponsorship. We would appreciate your support by purchasing these at the link below. If you are interested in helping the fund by volunteering or setting up your own chapter just drop them an email. Thanks! www.cyclesandbabes.com/fallen-riders.html
  2. Yep Cleveland was horrible. We gave the Fallen Riders Memorial Fund calendars, posters, patches etc to sell to raise money for the fund. The show promoter refused to let them put it out on their table to sell. NICE! Many of the vendors said they wouldn't even do any more of the shows...
  3. For the record I have worked in gun shops for more than 20 years. I have LOTS of experience and have owned or shot just about everything out there. HiPoints are junk, plain and simple. In a self defense situation a well placed shot with a 22 is a miracle shot. Most of the other options will penetrate walls and put holes in your neighbors. Based on the original post the shotgun is the best choice. OO buckshot puts 9 BIG holes in something with one pull of the trigger. A whole lot more with #2 shot. A self defense scenario should focus on putting down the intruder as quick as possible, PERIOD.
  4. One question. Is your life really only worth $200. In a self defense situation indoors with neighbors there's only one option. PUMP ACTION SHOTGUN alternating buckshot and #2 birdshot. If the felon in your home doesn't run when you rack the gun (an unmistakable sound) then it's his bad luck. Hi points are crappy and unreliable. 22's have no knock down power. With a 12 ga loaded as described you don't have to be accurate, just close.
