  1. I don't necessarily agree with it but you have to see them for what they are. Money generators for a hurting city. I grew up in Kettering and Dayton is a shell of it's former self. They are civil because the ORC says a uniformed officer must enforce traffic laws. If a "Follower" means that I stick up for it than that's not true. If that means that I will slow down in these posted areas like I do when I see a cruiser, than I am a follower. I refuse to put my hard earned money in a city coffer just to get somewhere quicker. Hopefully they get voted down after contract.

  2. I used google maps and zoomed in to find them as well.

This is about the speed cameras man, not the red light cameras.

Whatever. Same applies. Don't speed. At least they warn you and tell you where they are placed (unlike a cruiser in a random location).

  3. Intriguing, my Uncles place is also on E Mohawk, on the SE side of the lake. I love it there and spent a lot of weekends of my childhood there at the beach or out causing havoc with my cousin on his ski nautique or the dirt bikes

They are by Apache trail. There is a house down from them that looks like work was being done on it. Wonder if that's it?

I could see how that area would be blast as a kid! She has a brother that lives in Carrollton amongst the Amish in BFE. Fun to take his quad out beat up his woods! Gives me a chance to release my inner Redneck!

  5. Where in Lake Mohawk? My grandparents had a cottage there from the time they started selling land and my uncle has had his since about 1990. He just spent the last year adding on and renovating it and we just moved them in last weekend. I know a handful of families there from when I was a kid

I think street is E Mohawk. She grew up in canton and her folks moved there probably 15 yrs ago. Last name is Wey. There are a couple of them up there. Her dad's brother and sister live there as well. Neat community. Her dad takes the kids out on his pontoon in summer to sightsee and drown worms.

  6. Stay off of 31 all that you can. It's a main route between Indy and South Bend and is crawling with cops. One of the most heavily patroled routes in Indiana. Four lanes wide for the most part and loads of traffic, too.

30 is also a major east / west road in northern Indiana with a decent amount of 4 lane road and traffic. Not a lot of good road choices in that area though. The area is very flat and boring, so just pick a route that'll get you through the area the fastest.

I've only ridden in Michigan a few times but drive through it monthly for work. Just not a huge fan of the area as there's so much flat boring stuff to cover before you get to anything good. Most weekend trips for me are heading south as the roads get good within 20 miles of my house.

Yea. We went there camping but took the interstates. You're right about flat! The trip is not set in stone. I'm mainly concerned about weather in may. Historically looks to be only high of 60 and low 40s. I need warmth! You have any favorite destinations around 450 miles south?

  7. I have a 1150GS and will be riding to Utah again this summer - you're welcome to tag along.

Also do weekend trips most weekends throughout the summer to the Carolinas, GA, TN and Ozarks.

Gimme a yell if you ever wanna go.

    Eric

Probably have to work up to Utah but may be interested in the carolinas or TN! You ever ridden to Michigan? Was planning a possible May trip to Petoskey via state routes from Columbus,oh. I was looking at taking rt 30 through Indiana and north on 31. Ever been on these roads?

  8. Is that cylinder cut for moon clips? If so, they are a real handy way to carry an extra 5 rounds. Love S&W revolvers. I have a 610 (10mm/.40) and Performance Center TR 8 (.357). Did a trigger job on the TR8 and new springs. Like silk! Make sure to put some rounds thru the Bodyguard before carry. Had two buddies with that gun that had problems with light strikes. I think these issues were on the earlier releases. Nice gun though.

  9. That's a nice gun. My buddy picked one up and carries it everywhere. We have fired a variety of ammo thru it to include reloads and it feeds well. Can't say that about many of the sub compacts out there. He thought about painting the front blade (what there is of one) but this is an up-close-and-personal gun and decided against it.

  10. Cool. Friday is my saturday so I'm free after I drop kids off at school. I'm still waiting for my seat to get back from California. Been there since late October so missed that beautiful November. Better be the most comfortable seat my ass has ever sat upon when it returns! When it gets here, I'll be back on the road.

  11. Hey all! I'm a little late to the sport, but finally decided to take the Harley course and try two wheel transportation. Love it! Picked up a used BMW 1200 GSA and put 2000 miles on it in 3 months. Anyone who has Fridays off and wants to ride, let me know. I usually head up to Amish country but want to explore Hocking area.
