  1. I think it may also have to do with the fact you have an entire extra lane to catch yourself in an emergency situation when turning right but when going left you just have grass and guard rails. This plays with my head sometimes and I didn't notice it until the gap trip since I do not have fun roads where I live. But during that trip I would find myself not getting into the right position to take lefties since the right position is next to the white line typically and is kinda intimidating to ride that close to the edge. However, when I would turn right I would be right next to the center line ready to dive into the turn. Just my 2 cents on the topic.

    Brake pads...

I got the EBC organic ones because they claimed to be the best comparison to OEM and the sintered ones sounded more for race applications. Went to deals gap with them and was happy about them. There were a few moments I wished they had a bit more bite but over all they are not bad, predictable and smooth. I would be interested in hearing someones opinion on the sintered pads though since I was debating between the organic and sintered, didn't really see any semi metallic or ceramic pads for my bike.
  3. You are gonna get wind drag anywhere, its just how much you get. I found that it being on top generated less than on the side because my windscreen makes a very dirty air stream directly into my helmet so putting it on top took it out of that stream but then put it in less drag. So depending on how your windscreen is designed, the chin mount might be the best bet.
  4. I mounted it on top to get it out of the stream of wind drag I get from my windshield. I used the suction cup too because I didn't want to permanently mount it. The fairing shots I took were way more shaky compared to the helmet but the fairings are easy to shake. You may have better luck with mounting it on something solid like the handle bars or what I was thinking of doing and mounting it to the rear set with the bicycle handle bar mount.
  5. Ok cool, that's actually what was on it before I mounted it on the wall and it looked nice. An Xbox or PS3 fits nice on the hanging self part and games/DVDs fit perfect under it.
  6. 3'4"L x 1'10"W x 1'8"H has some nicks in it but can't tell from a couple feet away. Has holes in the back to run cables and can hold a tv up to 52", probably even bigger but it might look awkward. $20 picked up
  7. Its pretty bad when there is an entire category of videos dedicated to women trying to park or maneuver and in each case you just wonder how people survive life without knowing such basic skills such as backing out of a parking spot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1fJfKlHGjw Jail? lol
  8. $3000 for that? How much is it worth as scrap?
  9. Not spending a dime, just trying to get a bachelors since I have been in school for 4 years and still have 2 more to go since I changed majors so much. Still gonna be taking IS classes for all my electives though.
  10. there are quite a few people I work with that do not have degrees or there degrees are something other than IT such as art, music and history. In fact out of the people that have degrees, almost none of them are IT or even close! I got my associates in IT but I am continuing on to a business management degree because it really doesn't matter what degree you have in my field, and I think a business management degree would be much more valuable when I look to move up into management eventually.
  11. This is how I have gotten my past 4 jobs and why I was recently passed up for a promotion to a guy who's was less qualified but had an uncle high up in the company. I would be willing to bet this is how 9/10 people get hired.
  12. Would you do $100 on the speakers AND the receiver?
  13. Figured, my work blocks all sharing including dropbox, mobileme, photobucket, flickr, facebook, youtube. The only way I can get around it is to plug into the open DSL line I have in my cube which is supposed to be used for dev purposes lol. Surprisingly though, I can get to rapidshare and almost any streaming movie site there is.
  14. Are you at work? A lot of companies block photo sharing websites like photo bucket and flickr.
  15. If the iPhone5 wasnt coming out in a few months, I would be all over the red front glass and red brushed aluminum back.
  16. Wow, the screens have come down in cost since I last looked at doing this. A year ago it seems like the kits cost like $150 I believe.
  17. Seriously, threads you post in are NSFW and I find myself off guard at the worst moments lol
  18. HAHAHA at a quick glance I thought that said rapist church!
  19. I do the same thing but I try to keep the bike up mostly myself because I do not like to put mine and her weight on the kickstand. I keep the stand down and on the ground but just try to keep the weight more on the tires and my feet than the stand.
  20. My biggest thing when riding 2 up for the first time was stopping. I told her to hold on tight and lean how I lean but thats it. But stopping is much different, you have to be ready for the additional distance needed and for the added weight when putting your feet down. Im only 135 riding a sport bike so I felt a huge difference in weight riding 2 up. Shifting was kinda weird at first because I was trying to be smooth instead of no clutching like I usually do but I ended up bumping helmets every time I shifted lol.
  21. Well I lived 5 minutes from Oberlin too and I still never heard of it lol
