Well considering I'm a complete newb when it comes to bikes and people arent ripping on me for not knowing stuff it's nice, there are a couple forums I have seen where you would get shit on for not knowing stuff :/

well i gave it to him so he would not sell the bike before we get it started, its basically mine cuz i have to keys but its still in his garage lol and this forum seems great! i have been on a bunch of different forums over the years and you get a lot of people that are just complete assholes but this site seems pretty chill.

Yeah I am skeptical of people too but this guy seems legit, not that I'm going to take his word on it but everything seems cool. I'll definitely ask check for leaks but from what I saw it's a great bike, I guess I'll know for sure tomorrow lol

yeah I gave him $850 on the condition it will turn over and run excellent tomorrow and we made a little handwritten agreement saying that and we both signed it. And what hawk GT are you referring to?

so i just went to look at that ninja and i decided i have to have it, i gave the guy half($850) today so he will keep it for me but i am gonna go pick it up tomorrow depending on how it runs, supposedly it runs perfect but it was too cold today to get it started so i will see tomorrow. but based on how well it has been taken care of and how nice his car and CBR are i am sure it will run great! im freaking pumped!!! lol

nah, as much as i like to work on cars and stuff, i want something reliable, i would love to have an old bike or car to work on and fix up but i want a reliable one first ya know? and i will be asking for gear for my birthday in march. my parents dont like the fact im getting a bike cuz they think ill die so i can probably get some good gear out of them

i just got quoted at $110 a year for liability and $485 a year for full coverage with $250 deduct by state farm, im 20 with 3 tickets(i think) and 2 points.

Haha yeah, hopefully I'll have a baller job by then(one that I ACTUALLY went to school for) to pay for that baller bike! But at the moment Best Buy pay is not really cuttin it lol

A little, I have ridden my uncles Harley and my buddies CBR around town but I have never owned any.

yeah, i know its gonna happen eventually so i wanna be prepared, almost all of the motorcycle accidents i have seen could have been drastically reduced in severity if the person had been wearing gear. my uncle has some serious road rash just because someone threw out a bag of trash in front of him on the highway and he ended up laying his bike down, now he has scars up and down his left side from it cuz he was just wearing shorts and a t shirt.

i would love to have the 08+ ninja cuz your right, they do look cooler but this guy is wanting $1700(i sould have posted that lol) and im gonna see if he will do $1500 but i am most likely willing to go up to his asking price if it looks and runs as good as he claims.

here is the bike i just found which i am gonna check out later today, any opinions? the ad is pasted below... Here is my 07' 250 Ninja for sale,in great shape it has 3300 miles on it and it has been dropped by previous owner but with minial damage and still runs perfect. it is a great starter bike and i did alot to it to make it look as great as possible, intergrated smoked tailight, no fender,custom seat, rim strips,flushmunts,and decals to match the strip. KBB has it priced for alitle more than 2500. i know i said i dont want a 250 but after thinking about it and watching some videos i think a 250 is the way to go for my first bike, and i have realized it would probably be more fun to ride a slower bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow at least until i get the hang of riding. EDIT: the guy wants $1700 for it, i forgot to mention that

yeah, i saw that and tried to jump on it but i guess its already sold :/ that would have made my day though if i could have got it lol haha yeah, it does not even have a stop light, we have a couple stop signs with blinking lights though lmao yeah, i have been wanting to get a bike for a while now but for some reason the past few weeks i have REALLY been wanting one lol, my parents arent too thrilled about it but its something i have wanted to do for a while now. any advice on what a good starter bike would be? im thinking something around 600cc like a CBR, GSXR, R6 or Ninja. i was considering a ninja 250 but i figured i would just get bored with it after like 2 weeks lol.
