  1. There's a rubber mounting bracket you have to flip over which angles the can out further, mine is a GP style, (2004) doesn't rub at all, I haven't had any quality issues as of yet, it's been on a little over a year. They recommend tightening the rivets that hold the can on every once in a while, but that's just basic maintenance.
  2. Wow...yeah I couldn't have handled it that calmly at all, an accident is an accident but that was stupidity...
  3. I have the HR1 Riot Pipe on my '04 R6, love the exhaust and ability to adjust the back pressure, with it closed as far as it'll go I was just as loud as my buddy's Two Bro's exhaust on his 600RR, wide open...no contest.
  4. I'd def. go with a smaller bike as your first. Something like a Ninja 500 like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2009-NINJA-500-R-KAWASAKI-CANDY-PLASMA-BLUE-/300528340082?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item45f8e28c72, or a 600. Insurance will be costly on a 1000, my first bike was a CBR 600 F3. Go with something on the cheaper side (in case you wipe out), that you can handle now, and then move up to a bigger one later if you want. Def. get an insurance quote once you find one you're interested in, my insurance on my CBR was more per month than the bike payment was, so that's def. something to keep in mind, good luck in the hunt!
  5. GLWS, bike is in awesome shape...
  6. Great looking bike, at that price, should sell quickly...glws
  7. I know others have recommended CL, I found mine on there and had great luck. Providing you know your bikes, you should be just fine. Also you may want to try places like cycle search: http://www.390bike.com/
  8. Thank you all for the welcomes, as a side note, took the bike out Fri. for a short ride, the fever is on!
  9. Wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I'm new to this forum and have heard great things. My bike is a '04 R6, I've only done a couple of performance mods thus far including a HR1 Riot Pipe, and BMC Air Filter, cosmetic upgrades include black Double Bubble windscreen, black pro-bolt kit, debadged, and removed the flame decals.
