  1. Check your wiring to the interlock on the kickstand and the plunger against the kickstand, put the kickstand down/forward with a bit of force behind it. I had a problem with mine where it wasn't pushing the plunger in far enough. I hate the interlock as it is, wire cutters and a wire nut fixed my issue.

  2. My 2 cents on ARs, spend the money for one that has a gas piston vs spring. Loved my colt HB AR but years of military experience gave me plenty of malfunctions. My Sigarms 556 with a gas piston is more reliable.

And just a note... There is a difference in 556 and 223. 556 creates higher pressure and repeated use of 556 in a 223 can cause the barrel to explode. If a barrel is a true 556 it will normally be stamped with 5.56.

What gun club? Little Darby was doing 2 gun fun runs pistol/rifle or pistol/shotgun until they got shut down by court order over a dispute with Batelle.

Ps. Have you looked at the 9mm rifles? Last fun run we did, the guy with a 9mm rifle cleaned us guys with ARs and AKs at 150m, you lose long distance but he had less recoil, quicker back on target and a much quieter discharge. I was skeptical on a 9mm rifle but I was impressed with it.

  3. Verizon roadside assistance with my phone had broad and james tow me with a flat tire on my Gixxer (free hook, first 15 miles free). Nothing but props for both. Verizon operator was friendly and helpful, Broad & James guy was there before long, effecient and seemed experienced with being careful with a bike, home without a scratch on it (always heard bad experiiences with tow companies & bike tows). Home within an hour of my initial call.

  4. At least stay well ahead of him, sound like he's a preventible accident waiting to happen... If he rides a bike that shouldn't be riden, he's already riding over his limits... It's just a matter of time before he takes himself out... You don't want to be his collateral damage.

  5. Sounds like Randy's (a local rider, but not on OR) someone offered him rebuilt engine and did a swap on his just because he wanted to try out the rebuild. If it is Randy he's a good guy and his bike could fly. And at 15k valves on a 600 wouldn't need adjusted? Check that owners manual... (yes, more ominous periods...)

I've checked mine in between seasons and found them out of adjustment occasionally... It's a moving part, they are bound to need a tweak now and then. At least he took the time to physically measure them and adjust them.

  6. Can we merge the canton police dash cam story and this one to make a much better ending?

According to a bailiff, convicted car thief Thomas Done, 33, spent almost a half-hour at his June sentencing "shucking and jiving" Ogden, Utah, Judge Michael Lyon before finally finagling probation (instead of 15 years in prison) -- by expressing parental love for his young daughter and blaming his recidivist criminality on his girlfriend's infidelity. However, literally seconds after Judge Lyon announced probation, Done, noticing his girlfriend in the courtroom, made a gun-triggering motion with his thumb and fingers and said, "Boom, bitch." The better ending... A volatile Canton, Ohio police officer sitting in the courtroom upon seeing the loaded finger immediately stepped back from the finger wielding suspect, pulled his Glock 40 and pumped 10 rounds into the suspect. No charges against the officer are pending.

  7. Must be the speed limit... No other factors could account for accidents... Like distracted drivers with cell phones, makeup, books, gps, egtc. Or the bad design of a sweeping switchback on a incline/decline. and how many drivers would fail the Ohio drivers test again? Most drivers in columbus can't even comply with the speed limit, let alone all the other traffic signs!

    Plus +1 to the autobahn

Neg -1 to our dysfunctional interstate sytem

  8. I have wrote a reckless ticket to a speeder for 125mph in a 65 zone (paced). When we went to court I was informed that if there no other violations other than the speed, I could not write the reckless. The prosecutor then ammended the charge to a 4 point speed violation.

Guess this dispels the myth I've heard about a guideline of cpd not to pursue bikes at speeds above 120...

Ive heard a few stories of "I outran a cop" ... But I think more end like yours with ticket in hand...

  9. The octane listed on the pump is the minimum r+m/2 ... If it says 87 it can be higher, it can't be lower. The companies never adjusted for the raise in octane with the slight raise of the added ethanol.

That's the original point... 87 is 87 in Dayton now while columbus is 87 + the 3 boost of the ethanol

  10. My next trick today is to infiltrate a columbus terminal and acquire 7 loads of shell gasoline without any credentials of the Twic card that requires a fbi finger print/background check, or any of that cdl license with hazmat/tanker endorsement nonsense.... Who needs that stuff anyway.... i mean its not like its a likely target of terrorism so I'm sure anyone can just drive right in without question.

  11. The weight is measured by the RVP (Reid vapor pressure) giving its measure in pounds.

Columbus has 4 weights for summer/winter and transitions between. 13.5 winter, 11.5 transition, 9 summer, 10.5 transition.

Kawi kid, yes non-ethanol is available, but not without its drawbacks, our taxes pay subsidies (kickbacks) to companies to use ethanol (To continue farmers production of it) and no price reduction on non-ethanol gas. If you really want it pm me and I will get you in contact with someone who can help.

But then again I'm really not a fuel hauler, I just bought an 18 wheeler, painted Shell on the tank and drive around columbus looking cool...
