  1. Awesome! I really do not like the new "Beautiful Ohio" plates. I'm a bit partial to the red, white and blue that the previous design had...

I currently have those on my car and they are by far my favorite but at least these are a step in that direction :D

My bike has the B plates :(

  2. Nice! What santas not strapped... Or is this everyone telling santa they want what they want or they do mean business this year

Why santa? Huh when was the last time you saw me wear a tie fat boy? Huh Huh what cant talk with that GSG in your mouth.

    He has a CCW :D

Santa's always packing! Probably has a few derringers in that beard some how

  3. BF is a disgrace. Never been bargain hunting on BF, never will. Not gonna deal with that crap for $50 off a PS3.

New law: Any time a store should reasonably expect a crowd to form in anticipation of a shopping event, the store is responsible fro the safety of the shoppers and staff. They must conduct their business in a safe manner.

How about 30 minutes before opening time they walk down the line and hand out those plastic bracelets they put on hospital patients - must be cut off, can't be removed intact. These bracelets are numbered. All deeply discounted items will have an appropriate per-person limit (the first person in can't buy them all). Then shoppers are let in 20 at a time based upon bracelet number. If you show up at the register without a bracelet or your bracelet number is higher than the current batch of shoppers then you are escorted out. The store should hire some off-duty officers to keep the peace at the door. Stores that have two rows of doors would operate on an "airlock" basis... Let the next batch of shoppers in through the outer doors, but leave the inner doors locked. Once that batch of shoppers is inside the outer doors and closed and the inner doors are opened.

Yes, this is too much. But so is allowing hundreds of people to stampede each other to death for a f*cking waffle iron.

Microcenter down near me has employes walk outside down the line of waiting customers and ask what they are there for and gives them a voucher for what item they want, 1 per person, then after all the vouchers or the line of ppl are taken care of they go back inside and wait for opening time worked out great when I went there a couple years ago

  4. I ended up swinging by Kohl's on the way home from mansfield. I got there at 3:20, spent 10 minutes picking out my boots, 5 minutes in line, got $90 boots for $17 ($29.99 black friday special, $10 coupon, 15% coupon).

I get that kinda deal every time I go to Kohls :D (Grandma=employe Discount, senior citizen discount, kohls charge discount, and double-triple discounts days for employes) I don't shop for clothes but maybe 1 every 1-2 months. Me and girl went to Wally on Princeton near 129 (regional HQ) on thurs around 8:30 ppl where already hovering around the pallets of stuff over heard some black lady accusing some white lady of trying to push her art outta the way for this $5 pillow when the black lady had her cart in the walkway and no one could get by with another cart :nono: I hate how everyone looks pissed that theyre their and no one has any manors you say excuse me and they just look at you with a mean look. I just smile the whole time watching people sneak stuff outta the plastic wrap or the Mexicans who can't read that went up to a pallet of pants ripped all the wrap off and started sizing up pants  security didn't like that also had a LEO in full dress walking near the registers.

  5. I'll be "that guy" and hock my wife's employer:

    http://www.embracepetinsurance.com/

It's an Ohio-based company, and they really are pretty awesome. Unlike other pet insurance companies, they cover most "genetic defects," like hip displasia(sp) in German Shepherds, and other hereditary conditions.

What they don't cover are "pre-existing conditions," with a few exceptions. Basically you can't buy insurance today, and then call up tomorrow claiming your dog broke he leg a few days later. They're not dumb.

In my dog's case, he had a broken leg when he adopted him. He still had a 30 or 60 day waiting period before he was eligible for coverage, but during that time, we had a vet sign off that his leg was totally healed, and the previous injury would not be the basis for further injuries. Thus his previously broken leg is 100% covered.

Most dogs are $30 a month or so for full coverage. It may be more for some breeds.

And you do have the option to get "accident" coverage only, which covers things like car strikes (:() but not basic illness.

There is a deductible of $300-$500, but trust me, that is getting off very easy if your dog has any kind of serious problem.

You can check out their "claim of the week" on facebook. Typically people pay their $500, and the other $1500 or $2500 is picked up by Embrace.

I would estimate that 90% of their customers are people who just really love their dogs and cats, but they also have a deal with Cabela's for hunting dogs. With that much time invested in training a dog, it's well worth it.

damn that sounds nice my step mom has a toy poodle that is not even 2 years old and has hereditary cataracts and is now blind in both eyes. Vet said is fixable but cost $4k :wtf: I plan on getting some kind of insurance for my pets once I get some
