  2. Picked up a 01 400 ex on Saturday night for pretty cheap and got a title with it. Smokes real bad. Going to do a bigger bore kit on it. Was thinking 440 But has been recommended to me to do the 416 kit. Best place to order parts for? New to the atv world. Still hashing things out with ford so this is my new passing time project. Leaks fuel from the carb as well. Need to grab a rebuild kit for the carb as well. Also any pointers? Never messed with a smaller motor like this.     Since the mustang is out of running for a while I'm very bored. Would like a Honda 400 ex but open to whatever. Just want something to have fun on. Cheaper the better like to stay under 2k

  6. Found it. Plug on the back of the control board had a lose pin.

  8. Yes. Searched there. They talk of a load reduction relay by fail to say where it is.
  9. I have been wondering as well. I took the face odd and cleaned it. It opens all the blend doors to switch back from defrost floor and vents as it should though.
  10. It has power at the fuse on the side of the dash. But from there I have no idea as it has no power at the plug for the motor. Now I have looked all online and I can not find where this so called relay is for the blower. I've see. Something labeled as a voltage redeucer? But no location for it. I did check all out relays under the dash and everyone does not seem to have anything to do with the blower motor. And on the bcm. No idea. It's an audi so it could have more then one for all I know lol.
  11. I have tried and tried to figure this out. Having no luck. I took the blower motor out and put 12 volts to it. Fan turns on. Now I have no power at the plug. I have checked the fuse for it on the side of the dash. Fuse was good. I have tried to find this so called resistor for the blower motor but in not having luck. Also the fan speed on the display. If you turn the fan up it will automatically go back down. Anyone have an idea what to go at next?
  12. Because it's not honest. It's not a boss it's just a gt with the 401a package it's was 32k new. They said 25k will total it out since it's a boss and worth 40k that's why I'm trying to make them realize it's just a gt.
  13. Now I'm arguing with my insurance now over the fact they say my car is worth 40k and is a boss 302. Damn idiots.
  14. Others have said the same thing you have about to axle break so far. Called ford so now the waiting game starts.
  15. Yeah it does I've called and talked to ford. Said I'll be reviving a letter within 15 days. What the hell is this 1994 again?
  16. Doubt it. Car was in perfect shape when I got it. Had 8,000 miles on it when I bought it. Has 10,400 on it now. And I'm positive axle snapped. Car dipped. Car hopped. Then hand of god smacked car into curb. Spun around then into a gaurd rail
  17. Should check you axles for the hell of it. If they don't total it out ill probaly end up parting the car out. Have no desire to own a wrecked car I will end up paying 30k for.
  18. Trunk pan isn't to bad but you can feel the bludge in it by running your hand over it. Who knows what the bumper supports look like. If image it could be pulled but I'd fight for replacment. Same thing with wheel house. I wouldn't want that straighten. I'd want that replace which i think would involve remove the outer 1/4 to do? Trust me. In with you on this one. This was my one shot at a new car. I doubt I'll buy another if they total it. Sadly. Ford is really pissing me off.
  19. I am. More sad and in the dumps now then anything. Wanted a new 5.0 car since I heard there were being the 5.0 back. Took a lot of time and money to get one. At this point I'd rather them total the car. More I look the more I find. Body shop is really busy so gonna be a week or two before they even get it on a lift and torn apart to see how bad it really is. Love to go at ford with this but I know talking to the.   20. Yes factory suspenion. With track pack wheels. Only mods are exhasut and intake and hand held tune.
  21. Brake caliber holding the rotor when it darted right and smacked curb. That's when it broke. And they are. Was looked at today. Damage estimate is already over 10k and that was before we noticed more hidden damage. Trunk pan is buckled as well. Taking the car to a shop today for it to be looked at. And both 1/4 panels have damage. Driver side is dimpled in a few places and passenger side around the wheel arch are pushed out.
  22. Axle broke. Car darted right. I slammed the brakes and then smacked curb. That's when the rotor broke. Brake force holding the rotor. The axle broke and wheel rode on it for a few revolutions. Looks at the picture of the wheel. Inner wheel drum is gouged 1/8 inch deep all the way around from the dust shield if I'd think. And tire got cut up front either inner panels I believe. There all beat to shit.
  23. Decided to take my car to lunch on Sunday. While driving down the road shifted into the next gear, let out of the clutch and started accelerating all of a sudden the right rear of car dropped and started bunching. All of a sudden the car darted right and I tried to correct but by this point the car already smacked the curb. Then spun me around and back to the left across 3 more lanes into a gaurd rail backwards. I feel devistated. I love this car and nothing fits right on it anymore. I can now stick my fingers in between the trunk and the hood gaps are off. The inside of the wheel well got really beat up.i know the rear suspension is fucked. As well as the rear end. By the time car slid backwards into gaurd rail I'd think it. Was at no more then 20mph but I fear he car may be bent down wards in the rear. And for some reason rust in the center.
