Who all is planning on going?
-
Anthony might know a little about it. We have it for the Mustang. I swapped a touch screen radio into it and I know he had to use it for a bunch of things.

It's like going back to the 90's where we have to know people's phone numbers.

So you have tint that needs removed? The guy that does most of our cars usually has a special for around $150 for the whole car. But if you have old tint in place that raises the price a lot, I have to have 1 window done on a car that was tinted a long time ago and he said $75 just for that window due to having to remove the tint.

When we went to purchase our Kia Stinger a couple weeks ago they only had 8 cars on the lot for sale. The sales guy said they are still having problems getting in new cars and at that time didn't know when the next load of new cars would be coming in. Being in the used car market, the Auto Auctions are still ridiculous. Truck prices have not come back down. And now there seems to be a mini van shortage as vans are starting to have the same issue as trucks. Way over priced.

I absolutely loved the Mustang. Mine was a 6spd manual with a Corsa. It was loud and fun to drive. The car had some amazing sound deadening so it wasn't annoyingly loud when taking long trips with the Corsa. I could still hear my radio and have a conversation without yelling. LOL The backseat area left a lot to be desired. Couldn't really have adults back there comfortably unless a very small person and the front seats where moved up a bit. Fuel mileage wasn't the greatest, but buying a car like this you don't buy it for the MPG. I did take it on a lot of long road trips over the last couple years. Mine was on a flex fuel tune so I drove it on E85 sometimes and on 93 sometimes. On E85 I was seeing about 14-16mpg. On 93 I saw closer to 21mpg, slightly better on the highway. I drove this car pretty hard though every single day. I drove it to Saint Louis a couple times. Mine had the performance pack and one of the more noticeable things is the rear suspension is bouncy. While you grow to ignore it on shorter trips, its still annoying and you still notice it on the highway. We are keeping the Orange Mustang we have and I still love these Mustangs. I honestly never had to have any work done on it except for oil changes and 3 sets of tires. LOL It handled all of the daily abuse well and I did an Auto-X in it once as well as a few drag days. The 2017 had a good manual trans that never gave me any issues. I did have a little of the famous "BBQ tick" after a 8 hour road trip last year, but it never progressed or even did it much after that. For me, I have a 40 mile one way commute on back country roads every day. I enjoyed the performance and handling of the Mustang but I couldn't drive it at all in the winter months. It did well in the rain and I never worried about getting caught in a storm. But snow was a no go on the hills out where we live. But that would be the same for any RWD car. We pulled the G8 up the hill a couple times. :fuuuu: I wouldn't say the Mustang is a bad daily driver, it just didn't fit my needs as much anymore. As I get older I want to take a lot more road trips. I want to do more traveling. I wanted something with better MPG for my daily commute. Something with a roomy back seat to be able to have 4 adults in the car comfortably. AWD was a must. And while I love Subaru's and one of those would have fit the bill as well, I wanted to change it up and keep something with a little performance and basically combine a fun car and a daily driver into one car. I have down sized the car collection dramatically this year. Maintaining that many cars to my standards was exhausting. LOL

After much debate I decided to trade in my 2017 Mustang Gt in favor of something more practical. I think I am officially getting old. After driving beater Subaru's for years as my winter and commuting cars, decided it was time to change things up. I wanted something quick, AWD, comfortable, somewhat fuel efficient since I drive a lot. Something good for trips. Ended up buying a 2022 Kia Stinger AWD GT-line. Took a 200 mile road trip yesterday. Liking it a lot so far!

I have worked with a lot of insurance companies to do a max payout without making it a total loss. But these where vehicles we were fixing ourselves. Keeps the title from being a salvage title.

Guessing due to it being labor day weekend and a lot of tracks are having big events that weekend is why this isn't selling out. This has been advertised in MANY groups on Facebook. We are very far off of our target, its looking like it will be canceled.

Vehicles need to be pre-registered and paid for no later than August 4th! Spectators are free! Gates and Entry: Gates will open at 9AM and racing is from 10AM to 3PM. You must pre-register to attend the event. The payment link and information can be found in the CR Track Days section, main page of http://www.columbusracing.com, or the CR Facebook Group page. When paying, please include your name, screen name (or referring website), and vehicle in the comments section. Tech: Tech time is TBD in the staging lanes, and all registrants will be required to sign a waiver not holding Dragway 42 or Columbus Racing responsible for liability. Dragway 42 doing the tech-in and are looking for no leaks, nothing falling off, etc. You must wear long pants and a shirt with sleeves, t-shirts are fine. A Snell/DOT approved helmet is also required if you're running 13.99 or quicker. All vehicles will be marked after tech for record-keeping and verification reasons. You will not be able to race if you're not teched in; if you deliberately try to race without tech you will be ejected from the track and forfeit your registration money. Dragway 42 staff will be watching. Should you arrive after 10am it's your responsibility to track down a club representative to tech you in. Motorcycles must have a Snell/DOT helmet with full shield, full-sleeve protective jacket, long pants, and over-the-ankle-shoes. Do not try and get around this, if you're busted, we may eject you from the event and you will forfeit your registration money. Racing: Please be courteous and orderly to other drivers. We will be running a slick/drag radial lane ONLY and the other lane for all tires. If you break and spill fluids or damage the track, you are responsible for the clean-up fees and/or repairs. They are typically $70-300, depending on what you break and how bad you mess the track up. We have seen a few bills in the thousands for really severe stuff. If your car is a piece of shit and you cannot afford the clean-up, don't race. If you knowingly cause a track shut down due to breakage or leaking fluids, you will be responsible for the rental charges for the down time. If you notice your vehicle leaking fluids, shut it down and pull to the side of the lane for assistance. INFORMATION: Email: admin [at] columbusracing [dot] com Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No. Columbus Racing keeps an electronic copy of all registrations. Do I have to buy a ticket for each type of event (Drag racing or Auto-X)? No, a single ticket entitles you to both types of racing events.

Merry Christmas!

I do not recall typing the word "Sucks" into the title. But if that is the thought there is room on the Admin/Moderator list for more people to help "Make CR great again."

I agree. The Admin that made this thread is a total bitch.
