  1. I sold a R/60 to a guy in Argentina; I waited until I had the funds in my PayPal and it was ready for me to move to my bank. Then he made all the arrangements and sent the shipper to pick it up. I would not under any circumstances pay for the shipping for anyone, they should do that. Also take lots of pics of the bike the day the shipper comes and time stamp them along with pics after the shipper has loaded the bike and it is strapped down. Just in case it is damaged after it leaves you. Get a reciepr from the shipper before he leaves.
  2. Look on the ODPS website, or call BMV
  3. it took me awhile to figure out hoe to post pics....
  4. last year we took I-70 past Indy then I-74 to Urbana Ill., from there I-72 to Hannibal MO. This got us thru the congested areas of Indy and Ill. We picked up Rt 36 in Hannibal after touring the caves where Jesse James hid out and Mark Twain based his Huck Finn stories. Rt 36 was a great alternative to I-70; we were able to run 70 -80 mph a lot and then we also rode thru some small old towns, very good road. Near Lebanon Kansas we stopped at the Geographical Center of the US. just a neat little stop. In Oberlin Kansas we stayed a night in the Oberlin Bank B&B, this is an old west cattle drive town and the inn was great. From there we went up 83 into Nebraska and took Rt 34 for the rest of the way into Colorado. 34 will take you right on into the Rocky Mtn. Nat Park and over the Continental Divide to US 40. or you can play around in the park for days. This year we are going down thru KY to the southwestern tip then 60 thru the Ozarks up to Fort Scott Kansas and 54 and 50 thru Kansas, this will take us in CO on the south end. When are you going?
  5. Welcome..... sounds to me like you should get the next new "toy" and tim gets the hand me down..... btw, my gf started on a Shadow too. Now she rides a Yamaha FJR1300 and loves it.
  6. the Honda cleaner is now called Original Bike Cleaner... it's the same stuff.
  7. I use Plexus on windshield and face shields and Honda cleaner on rest of bike. get both at Iron Pony or most dealerships.
  8. I like the Sena SMH-10. have used them for several years and could even communicate at over 100 mph in full coverage helmets. they are bluetooth enabled so you can connect to phone, music, gps, etc. waterproof/stormproof and last all day. easy to use and can connect up to 4 units for intercom. we used them on a 4,000 mi. trip and we use them around town.
  9. I've been using the Sena SMH10 for several years now and am very pleased with it. Clear intercom, phone and it integrates very well with my iPhone so I'm sure it would with an android. We get about 1/4 mile bike to bike range with it which is really nice. a full charge will last a 600 mile day using intercom and music. They have a new SM5 out which seems to do all you want and is even more affordable.

I just ordered a Nolan N104 helmet from this sponsors shop/website. I am very impressed with the service I received on the phone, I spoke with Brian. The really good part is that the Ohio Riders discount saved me about $60 bucks.... I post my impression of the helmet when I receive it; he said I'd get it on Thursday. I did try one on at another shop and really liked the fit and feel but they did not have it in white in my size so I went looking on line starting with our sponsors.
  11. Welcome Moin... I rode thru Howard yesterday. How did someone get from DC to Howard? There is a breakfast this Sunday at The Best Breakfast and Sandwich Shop. It's on Westerville Rd. just south of I-270. South end of shopping center where Aldi's is. Be there around 8-8:30
  12. sounds to me like battery terminal connection problems. I'd take them off clean clamps and terminals real good then tighten them down nice and snug. that would be my first thing to do.
  13. Would love to join you all, but GF and I will be going thru there a couple of weeks later on our way from Virginia Beach to Steamboat Springs Co. We'd be happy to pick up any pieces left behind.....
  14. I love to ride as much as anyone, and I find plenty of time for on the road riding but I also find working with people just getting into riding and those with experience who are taking the class to be very rewarding for me. For me it is not a negative. That is a good thing to think about before committing to being a MSF instructor, yet you only have to teach 2 classes per season to maintain certification so that still leaves plenty of seat time too.
  15. I never got $800 and I taught all over, it was more like $645 I believe... also the state changed the way the classes are sponsored last year and it is now up to the individule sponsor; usually a college or school as to how the pay is structured. some where around $300 - 350 and maybe some additional if you are over 45-50 miles away from home. MO is looking for instructors so get on line and contact them and get the ball rolling if you are interested, they can give you the best info.... but money is not the reason I do it.
