  1. its probably worth what your asking for it but if you dont rig it up on some kind of test stand or have a marina check it out and tell you its good, your going to have a hard time selling it....

Thanks man, I figure that, but that's why I tried to price it at more of a "wholesale" price.

People are selling the same / similar motors for twice what I have on this. So I figure for HALF of what they're asking for a complete motor, you can spend a little bit of that difference making it perfect.

  2. Has this thing been tested to ensure it runs?

    Coil Packs?

The motor is going to need coil packs, and plugs. I'm don't know a whole lot about boat motors, but I'm sure you could do a compression test on it.

I was told the motor was taken out of a running boat, but I don't personally have a way to test it.

You're more than welcome do whatever tests you'd like to the motor to ensure it's what you need.

But I'm happy with it, and it sounds a lot better than what I had before. And the boxes will be covered as soon as I get another day off.

This thread wasn't created to get the individual opinion on what you think of my slightly over the top creation. It was made to thank jason for his help.

    IS THIS REAL LIFE??

    LOL

It is sir. Sad story of my life. My car's system is getting close to being worth as much as the car :fa:

+1...your shit is gonna get stolen with the quickness showing through that hatch

My apartment has cameras, and the car is either there, or in the back of my work.

And if they really feel like stealing it, I guess it just sucks to be me.

  5. Just wanted to Say thank you to Jason for letting me use his tools, and helping me build my sub boxes. I have never done any woodworking before, and he definitely helped make the process a lot easier. I learned a lot too!

Took a good 5-6 hours, but we got it done. They are pretty damn close to JL's optimum specs.

    only snapped a couple pix...

  7. I am in reynoldsburg as well and have most tools/saws if you wanted a place to do it. I need to build a couple more boxes as well here soon.

How does tuesday look for you? I'm off all day. I'll give you the leftover wood if you want it. Theres a decent amount of it, and I don't have a place for it.

  8. Set of 4 Universal Voxx 5 Lug rims. They are bronze in color, and are in great shape. I have the boxes for the wheels.

    Bolt pattern is 5 x 110 and 5 x 115. They are 16" x 7" 10+ offset

Price is $265 for all 4. No tires.

I'm working on getting some pix.

  9. Spj josh on here..

He has a built silverado with 4 18's that can rip sheet metel I think he can help you

Haha thanks for the help. I went to home depot last night and got the wood for it. They ripped it all for me, and its pretty darn close to the measurements I need. All I have left to do now is cut the holes, and put it together. :fuckyeah:

    hope it works..

  10. I just got 2 JL 13.5" subs, and can't find a box to put them in :megusta:

Anyone here make good boxes? I don't want to shell out a fortune for a "pro" box. I just need something to hold the damn speakers for now. I was going to try to cut out a 12" box, but the hole needs to be 14" in diameter, and I haven't found one with enough room on the sides yet.

I'd like to have a nice ported box if possible.

  11. Its NFPA fire code. I dont have a specific code for you, but its illegal. You have have a combustible liquid on your patio. LPG on your grill is normally what we normally see, but gasoline counts too. We issue a warning to the property manager and if we come back and see it we start throwing fines around. The property manager is just trying to comply with the FD, who is enforcing NFPA safety code, which is there to protect people. AKA Dont get your panties in a bunch

The idea is in an apartment, if that lights off it will run the building side. Once it runs up the building it light the soffit and once it penetrates the soffit it will run the roof, which is one big space of open combustibles. Once in the roof shit gets real and you burn down buildings and kill people.

If you need further info talk to your property manager but its legit.

Thank you for the info. ......... and what followed? I guess. . . :gabe:

  12. Leasing office lady comes over today and tells me I can't park my motorcycle on the patio by my sliding door.

What does the law actually say about this? I tried doing some googling, but couldn't find an answer. It just kept telling me about not having your grill on the patio.

I just want to know because the patio is the only place I feel comfortable leaving the bike. The parking lot is overcrowded, and by the time I get home at 9pm, there's nowhere to park.:megusta:

  13. Hey,

I have been doing some googling, but haven't really found anywhere I can get a good deal on the parts I need.

I need to get a Rear seat, and mirrors for my 2000 Gsxr 750. Does anyone have some they want to get rid of, or know of a place to order them?

I just got the bike and it just came with the cowl and blockoffs.
