Sounds like a whole lot of holding up traffic and inducing roadrage to me? Sporters and touring folks don't tend to do things like this, wonder why that is? I like to "safely pass" on double yellow lines too much, and I also don't pull under a bridge/overpass when it starts to rain either. Well it sounds like a good time for some, but I will just give to charities without all the fanfare and attention mongering. To each their own, camaraderie and choices are good.

I am all for anything charity, and not bashing the club or reason for the poker run. I have been on "1" Poker run and it was exactly as I had described, never again will I ride "well it aint really riding" in a group like that. Maybe your group and the folks that will show up are different, poker runs and most any large group ride for that matter, isn't something many here are fond of. That is debatable these days, Ducati is making some pretty good stuff as of late. European vehicles tend to suffer from electronic/electrical problems, the American and Asian technology is superior in comparison.

Fully geared when I ride, I just know that I would still get hurt somehow. No way that I could get hurt like you did, my employer/customers/family is depending on me too much. Sure does look like fun though, I would just slow y'all down I'm sure.

What about that pricing on a Shoei Qwest? I know nothing about Suomy helmets, maybe I need to do a bit of investigating on them.
