  1. LOL! I mentioned this a few pages back...http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?p=880677#post880677 Haters gonna hate, though.
  2. A stock Ninja 250R is comparable in performance to a stock Buell Blast. I know how you all feel about Blasts, lol, so here you go. Stock Blast: WAY more comfortable seat More useful torque Better handling More of a Fighter look Stock Ninja 250R: More aggressive riding position Better acceleration when in powerband (though not by much) Higher top-speed (not by much) More of a super/sport bike look Obviously, you can modify either one to better fit your tastes. Being 5'8" 175lbs myself, my Blast moves me around very effortlessly (though mines far far from stock). Even stock, it moved past cars pretty easily on the freeway; the 250R isn't any worse, actually a little better with a quick downshift. Sure, I'd like to see someone else grab up a Blast, but I'm making this post more for a comparison of the 250R to a bike that most don't seem to like. Maybe this will give those that like the 250R incentive give the Blast a 2nd glance? Or maybe you're more willing to pass on the 250R for being similar to a Blast? I dunno, but there's some info for ya guys.
  3. I didn't ride with those types. I figure I'll add it in, I wasn't the lead bike in that run, I wasn't even second. There was a guy that had a really hopped up CBR600. Even he wasn't leading. The guy that lead, was old as dirt it seemed and riding a Norton that was probably older than he. He was drifting the corners and still kicking our asses. Ever since, I've wanted to find a Norton for a true old-school cafe-racer build.
  4. Half-assed, but better than the Duc above... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uik5jH9j9dc
  5. As posted here: http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=86365&page=3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMWfnsSJWeM That one looks and sounds (like a lawnmower) stock.
  6. I've never tried to wheelie mine. It's popped up on shifts...but I prefer to keep both wheels on the ground. I have stoppied it twice, due to retards in cars; that was scary, don't wanna do that again. Maybe if I find a junker for cheap, I'll play around. It's possible, just not common because it's rather difficult when stock, as those videos show. You can tell they're stock (or close to) by the muffler and airbox.
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OerCb40gteY 0:20 is awesome, the other guy just drops his head. Yeah, not Buell, I just love that Britten.
  8. Can I have a patch that says that? ...or a custom user title? That. Would. Be. Awesome! I didn't realize distance had a bearing on internet debates.
  9. So ... 1. People that haven't ridden a modified Blast, hate Blasts. Why am I not surprised? 2. Good rider/crappy bike > crappy rider/good bike - Duh 3. Still no info on 'stuntas'
  10. Funny... ...I have personally out run two R6's, a ZX10R and a CBR1000RR (all at the same time) in the pig trails in Northwest Arkansas... on my Blast. The rider of the ZX10R (coworker) regularly asked to switch bikes for afternoon rides after work. -Edit- I'm far from stock.
