  1. I havent been on in a while to check, but Desmo-Brian, did you have a set?
  2. Does anyone have a set of Woodcraft 50mm Clip On handlebars, used or new for a decent price? If used, are they still in nice condition?
  3. Ha! Thats a great clip!
  4. In fact, an open air box lid is available thru Ducati Performance for nearly ALL their bikes! And there are no instructions/needs (supposedly) for installing this!
  5. Its not that retarded, damn! If you ever see how choked out the intake is on one of these, the mod is perfectly reasonable! I've read so many message boards and threads about this!
  6. Seems like if I even mention the word Ducati to the places around here, if they aren't dumbfounded right away, I swear they tell me a higher price for shit! I've done as much R&D on this bike as i can and have repair manuals for it, I'm trying to do as much on it myself as possible.
  7. Ha, I live in Mississippi now lol. Nearest Ducati guys are about 4 hours away in Nashville... You'd be surprised how little anyone near me knows about anything other than Honda, Yamaha, and HD!
  8. Well I did put a K&N OEM replacement in there a while ago and it did do wonders for it! So I figured eventually I would tryout this open air box lid mod...
  9. I'm gonna try some duct tape in a bit though lol
  10. It's a very common performance mod on Ducati Monsters, I hadn't seen any mention though by any of the forums I read it in about additional mods necessary or issues resulting thereof.
  11. Yeah, I've been perusing eBay for a new one :-/
  12. Well this one is carb'd so no electronic mapping etc. I would just need a jet kit but thats a pricey install and I'm not sure I'm really up for the challenge of a self install on that yet!
  13. Ignore that bullshit!! People try that scam any way they can!! You sold a used car and disclosed all issues you knew of and sold it as-is!! Tell him to bring it, call his bluff!
  14. Ok, so on my 2001 Monster 600, I performed an air box modification; basically just cutting a large hole in the top cover for less restrictive airflow. However, after doing that, I have now noticed that when I pull the throttle wide open it doesn't really do faster and in fact seems to slow down or sputter, but if I back off the throttle a bit it will speed up just fine (albeit slowly). It did not do anything like this prior to the air box mod. Could this be because it still has the stock slip-ons causing a bottleneck at the outlet from the increased intake flow? Any ideas?
  15. So I've noticed the Danmoto exhaust maker on ebay and checked out their site (which is actually cheaper than ebay!) and on youtube for videos of their exhaust on my Ducati and I must say that it looks good and sounds great! Has anyone used their products, and if so what do you think long term?
  16. yeah i figured it would take a lil bet to get used to, but i was also thinking of the nearly 2 pounds of linkage it would eliminate plus be more aesthetically pleasing. Besides that, my Sidi boots keep slipping off the current shifter!
  17. I'm thinking about getting a PSR shift lever for my Ducati, one that connects directly to the gear change shaft...this would eliminate all of that clunky linkage, however, it would make shifting reversed. Has anyone installed or used this type? Thoughts?
  18. I know all about splicing and connectors lol, I'm just not on the up and up with motorcycle electrical systems and LED blinker impedance requirements lol
  19. i've already completed all the wiring and what not, the resistors seem like the easiest fix to how i have this done and where all the wiring has to go etc... is there something i can do with them or...damn I don't know...
  20. ha, no one gave me that link, it was one i saw on another message board
  21. I looked at my relay earlier and it says right on the side of it "electronic flasher relay"
  22. well how can I use these resistors if they get that hot?! this stuff is packed between my seat and lower plastic fender or whatever, I'm afraid it'll melt thru or catch my ass on fire! lol...can you give me a link to a decently priced relay or whatever (last one i saw was $70!)
  23. Alright, I installed an integrated LED tail light/turn signal assembly into my 2001 Ducati Monster. My dumbass threw out the stock wiring harness with the resistors and what not...well i bought a pair of 5 watt 2.7 ohm resistors today, I tried one out in a temporary install; it slowed the blink rate to normal, but it got HOT!!! I tried wrapping it in electrical tape and let it blink as if i were at a light or something long, the tape melted and started smoking! Can someone tell me what the proper resistor type should be for this application?
