There’s actually 5 weekends in June. I got the 2nd and 3rd weekend off. So hopefully I picked right. I’m off from 6/7-through 6/17

My employer is asking for vacation schedules for 2019. Do we have any dates yet? If not sure any idea if in the first two weeks or last two weeks of June?

Thanks Tim

Some roads might be. I know some are for cars and motorcycles

I downloaded the permit and just need to know where to get inside the park to ride some good dirt and gravel roads. I assume there off 83 somewhere. Any ideas?

Well said Tim. I started riding with Dave L and Bill B from Core in 2001 I think. Loved the corners but I sucked and was slow due to lack of skill and saddle time. Over the years I've logged about 250,000 miles. Most of them in Southern Oh. I can honestly say that when riding I rarely blow a corner, don't use brakes much and feel comfortable riding the speeds we do. The small group I ride with does ride fast. Who leads depends on the day and how we feel. We all have had days where we just don't feel it and have broken off. To put it bluntly, slab about 100 miles to get to the Twisties and don't want to ride at 50%. I only get out every 2 or 3 weeks and want to wick it up a bit. Sorry if our rides have offended anyone. We often keep our rides private.....Maybe we need to continue doing just that. Besides how fast can a Yamaha Super Tenere be.

Meet at Bolivar Dq at 815 to depart at 830. Then 212 to 93 to meet in Otsego at 93 and 83 intersection at 930 to depart 945. Then up 83 to 78 to meet in McConnelsville at 1030. We will jointly agree on a route and leave about 1100. Pace won't be mach retard but will be brisk. Wear gear, and ride your own ride, we wait when route changes.

I will be riding with a group of Big Adventure Bike's doing the 3 day Smokey Mountain 500 on June 8th. Leaving out of Stecoah, NC. (Iron Horse) coming your way on 28 but turning off early 2511 Fontana Rd, Robbinsville, NC 28771 on the Upper Tuskeegee Road heading to Tellico Plains area the first night. This will be a mix of dirty roads with some curvy asphalt connectors. We will be on 50/50 Mitas E-07's tires. You can drop out at many locations and head back to Fontana or ride on with us. We will return to Iron Horse on the 10th. Brian

Not Me.
sounds fun. Ive been practicing off road and from what Ive seen in the videos I should be okay. Now if wet my battlewings will not be up to the task.

I'd love to do some off-road for a day. I do lack some experience off road and I'm running 80/20 Bridgestone battle wings so depends on how rough the terrain is.

Looking forward to some hard ridn and drinkn

I finally pulled the trigger and got the Givi 52 liter trekker top case with backrest. Should be here Thursday. I went with the 52 for my wife to lean back on and carry our stuff for a long days ride. Thanks for the input guys. Next will be either a slightly taller windscreen, or an adjustment bracket, or a laminar lip type attachment. Any recommendations? I'm 6 ft and the wind hits just about forehead level. When a drop my head a few inches it's much better.
