Great I'll be there by 900 waiting. Thanks. I'll be smoking my cigar. If you guys don't stop no problem, I'll throw on my helmet and catch up. Or at least try.
Was a good ride Jacob and Jim. Fellow riders you missed a good day. Glad we had no mishaps and home by 510pm. I logged in just over 500 miles. Next time I plan on riding is the epic ride weekend where I will either attend or head to wva if anybody will accompany me.
Sorry to hear it Jamie. Hope you feel better. I'm planning on riding even with all the rain I just had up here in Mentor. Only way I won't ride will be if looks bad and radar looks dismal. I'll post up by 630 am when I leave.
So route as follows unless we get a better one. Bolivar 212 to 93 to 83 to 78 into McConnelsville. Then 78 to 377 to 550 to 555 to 676 into Marietta. Then most likely 26 to 260 to 7 to 800 into Woodsfield. Then 78 back down to 7 to 556 to 145 to 148 to 800 into Barnesville. Then 800 North for us Northerners.
The weather for Bolivar isn't bad after 900 am and further south you go like towards parkers burg wva weather even better. I think maybe a little wet early then good till 400ish.
Pauly we rode 556 a few weeks ago and in my opinion it's okay. The Fracking has caused a few corners to have some debris though. But I rode at pace and was okay. But a few other riders said they thought it wasn't as good as idea just to give you multi opinions.
Sounds good Jacob. I'm all about meeting new riders Jeff, would love to have a vrod with us. Just ride your pace. We'll be there at intersections when route changes.
I figure I'll be at Bolivar Dq at 800am to depart 815am. I'll take 212 to 93 which runs into Otsego and rt 83. So at 930-945 this would be a good spot to meet more riders. Then taking 83 to 78 into McConnelsville meeting at gas station near river around 1100-1115am. Another spot to pick up riders. Then we meander via twisties to Marrietta.
Thanks guys, I forgot to mention the pace. I'm use to posting on Core and through instant messages. I forgot that Ohio Riders actually has participating members. The pace will be Brisk. Mostly 80ish in the straights with some faster sections. Corners typically double posted speed. Not for everyone. But if you're safe, ride within your ability and wear gear your welcome. We wait at route changing intersections. We pass on double yellow and been known to pass each other in good spirits.
Tpoppa, outa town. Dave G, outa town, Unclepunk can't make it, and Jim's a no go. Thinking maybe next Sun the 30th. Not sure yet. Jamie let you know early tomorrow, OK?
I miss my bandit. Had 2, both 98 1200's. Got 70000 miles from both before I sold them. Had progressive suspension front and rear. Dropped the front about an inch and raised the rear about 2 inches. Had a scorpion pipe with stage 1 kit with kn filter. The other changes were cosmetic.
Good places to meet are Bolivar Dq at say 815am to leave at 830 or rt 93 and 83 intersection in Otsego which on map is near Plainfield at 945 for 1000am leave. Then in McConnelsville at 1100am for 1120 departure. We park at gas station near river. This will be a fast ride. Wear gear 80 to 90 in straights and keeping that in corners. We wait at all rt changes. Ride your pace and we'll wait.
Similar to my last ride which was Bolivar 212 to 93 to 83 into McConnelsville. Then 83 to 377 to 550 into Marietta to pick up 26 to 260? To 7 to 800 into Woodsfield. Then 78 back down to 7 to maybe 550 to 145? To 148 back to 800 then home. We did talk about a couple of other roads that would likely replace 550. So this is a rough draft as of now.
