Ironically, my buddy that wanted the M1 in my original post didn't even buy a gun yesterday. I did though I picked up a 1944 Russian Mosin-Nagant M44. I am going outside here in a while to try this beast out. It's so neat to look at this gun and wonder what it has seen. The guy at Vances told me that each of the stampings on the stock meant something different. He mentioned that there was a way to find out what each of these mean. Does anyone have an idea of how to do this? A website maybe?

Wow...sounds like a bunch of drama on Brice happened. I was in Heath which was 100 times better than Brice IMO. There was no drama, the cops were actually VERY lenient, and there was more than enough cars and people to make for a fun time. I looked for the other CR people but it was honestly like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Wow, I didn't know so many people hated MoPar Nationals. I'll be there but I doubt I will be on Brice Rd. Brice has turned into crap the past few years. Rumor is that somewhere in Hebron is the replacement spot this year.

I told him that it would probably not be easy to find. A Garand maybe, but I wouldn't think a carbine would be as easy to locate.

A buddy and I are driving up for the MoPar Nationals on Saturday. He mentioned that he would like to buy an M1 Carbine on Saturday if he could find one for a reasonable price. Does anyone know where to find reasonably priced military guns in the Columbus area? We are stopping by Vance's for sure, but they do not appear to currently have any carbines in stock.
