  1. I recognize that as 255, which is an epic road but I just rode on it last week and there was a lot of gravel after the storm. I can't say what it is like presently.
  2. Free track time!?! I'll bite!
  3. That last picture was from today, the other one is their stock photo.
  4. It's a Christian Biker event, here is a little more information:
  5. I believe that you fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this: Don't go off the road, or over the yellow line, in a straight panicked trajectory. It's been my experience that nearly all accidents involve the rider freaking out for various reasons, unleaning the bike and going straight off the road. Rarely do people "lay her down" while actually on the road. I learned this lesson very early from a friend of mine who was going pretty hot into a corner, hit a tar strip and had his back tire slip a bit, then he panicked and went straight off the road into a ditch. He drilled into my head to just lean back over, which is logical and very easy to say but extremely difficult to will yourself to do, admittedly. Most of us are riding sport bikes that are a lot better than we are, so if we would just lean over you would go right through the corner, you would only have to change your shorts later.
  6. Maybe you could show us a video of what it might have looked like except you know, with someone else riding that you happened to find somewhere.
  7. It was a "corner" after the crest of a "hill", you can see both better here: http://goo.gl/maps/KwY5G
  8. Soooo, most motorcycles have an odd number of headlight(s) because: It distinguishes them from cars. Two headlights might look like a car that is far away. I always assume that the cage is trying to kill me, and is just waiting like a predator to jump out when it thinks I can't recover, so I'll keep my two lights.
  9. My FZ1 has two low beams, and two high beams, and thus it is the best bike I have ever ridden at night. It has literally twice the light of most other bikes.
  10. I work Saturdays but as it happens I have this Saturday off, but I am in negotiations with the wife on what we are actually going to be doing.
  11. Will any of you guys be bringing your wives along? How big do you think this group will be?
  12. Greetings! I go to Calvary Chapel Zanesville and I didn't even know about your group! I'm thinking about joining you guys. This route looks fun, except for 33 and most of 13 parts, but I understand starting in Columbus and taking the straight roads to get to the curvy ones.
  13. These roads are all good, but I am drawing a real blank on 19, where might one find that?
