  1. Let me start this post out by saying as of today I know very little about motorcycles, I haven’t ridden one if over 20 years and even then my time was very limited on a bike, but have always loved motorcycles. When I was in my early 20′s I was given a Honda 750 that had been sitting in a barn for awhile and with the help of a friend (a lot of help from the friend, basically all I did was polish the chrome) we got it up and running to my dads dismay. My guess is that my dad had a close call on his bike. He had one while we were in grade school then one day just came home and said he was selling the bike and never rode again. Then made me promise not to own one while he was still alive. So once we got the Honda running to honor my fathers wishes I sold the bike to the friend who really got it up and running for basically just the money we put into it to get it running again. Fast forward to the present, I was helping my father-in-law clean out their old house in Iowa and found this old Triumph in his garage. It had been sitting their since 1981. He doesn’t remember why he quite riding it. Most likely because he got a Goldwing. Not sure what type of shape it is all in but I offered to buy it from him but he told me to just take it and get it running if I could. So this started a new project for me and has ignited a passion about motorcycles once again and the history of the classic Triumph Tridents. I started this blog ***removed link*** to document the restoration of this motorcycle. What I learn about the history of the Triumph Trident and links to other sites, forums, and pictures related to the Triumph or biking in general. Looking forward to hitting the roads of Ohio once it is up and running.
