I've got one and it works for me. I crashed in it twice and felt fairly well protected and walked away both times.

We miss you already!

Will they change the groups up after the first session or two? I have absolutely no idea which group I would need to be in.
It's tough to guess at the beginning which group to be in, but i would say they are pretty flexible. Just keep talking to your instructor and they'll let you know. If you've done at least a few track days at other tracks, you would probably be in one of the higher groups.

Warmers wont be a necessity at Novice pace. If MidO follows an STT-like program, there are slower parade laps at the beginning of each session that will heat your tires adequately. Someone with actual experience at a MidO Novice day can elaborate, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't need any.
Could be a nice luxury, and maybe affirmate more confidence in your tires though.
I did a novice day last summer, and you shouldn't need warmers or any other elaborate gear. They are very rider friendly. They do break you into groups by level (self evaluation). The first few sessions a very slow, then as each group gets comfortable, the instructors up the pace a little. Each rider gets some individual evaluation by the instructor and you can ask as many questions as you like. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and will be back (hopefully on the July 18th).

In light of the Apple issues lately (use headphones - some NSW language):

So I updated my iPad to 7.0.6, but my wife is still on 6. Can she get a security update without going to 7? I found updates for 6.1.6, but they say they are for iPhones and iPods.

I can bring an electric heater, also. Do they have showers there?

True.....I've been a bit paranoid about residual water freezing every since I split a big hole in a dirtbike expansion chamber when popping out a dent. Softball sized dent, 2 freeze/thaws and it split open about 4".
Was thinking I'd just take my normal drain container and put the cap on it till it was time to head home.
I just use one of those plastic coffee cans. Works for antifreeze or oil.

I think I am going to have to try this - Trackmaster GPS Laptimer for Android.

Not advertising and have no vested interest, but this bike for sale in OR classifieds seemed nice.

Did the same thing (almost). Borrowed a torpedo heater and put on my new plastics. Noticed a few things out of whack. Ordered and now waiting on a new rear brake reservoir and fairing stay to finish up. Everything else is ready!

Welcome!

GTO can't get the lean angle. Two wheels are better than four.
