If folks are going this Saturday I'll sign up and make the trek. Ya sold me. Gonna be a looong early morning ride - better have donuts when I get there. lol
-
yea, I should have explained better... I took the Basic Rider course to get my license which I thought was pretty good. I then took the Basic Rider 2 course a year later which I didn't get a thing from. I read the description and that's all well and good but I was just wondering if anyone here had taken it and their overall impression of what they got out of it. I'll have to blow a workday and make a three hour hump to take it.

Has anyone taken the Advanced Rider course before? What's the rundown on it?
-
Glad you're ok. Just think of the many ways it could have been worse including having no helmet. Fix that puppy and get back in the saddle quick.
-
Nice ride. I see a lot of enjoyable miles in your future.
-
Welcome to the group. As long as your priorities are correctly placed I see no problem with the fishing. LOL
-
Wish I could shrink my head...helmets are calling me.

Dress for the fall, not the ride. If you need motivation look up skin debridement procedures that they will do as they pick pebbles out of your butt. Nobody looks cute after that. Blew most of my funds on getting the bike this year so I picked up a textile jacket, cheap Scorpion full face, kevlar reinforced jeans and $50 ankle high riding shoes. Planning on upgrading gear over off-season starting with helmet. Motorcyclecloseouts.com sometimes have some decent deals on the cheap.

You don't progress by watching or being a groupie. You progress by doing, a trackday is a fast track to progression.
I get that but I blew all of my expendable cash this year getting the bike and some usable gear. Have to wait until next season for a track suit, a decent helmet and another set of tires for the ones I burn at the track day.

If you have car insurance on any vehicle ask your agent. They'll do it for free.

Any college music program would love to give their students the experience but you would have to give them time to plan the playlist.
-
I'd like to come down for the races and to see the track day. Haven't progressed that far yet though so I'd be a groupie in the pits.

Unwritten rules.
book of the road:
And welcome to O.R.
Welcome ...............and that was damn disturbing.

I have a Asus RT-N16 router and it allows for configuration limiting access by a time schedule. There are also cheap software applications that will do the same thing native to the device.

He's here to take our bikes!

Thanks. I have an email in with MPHOhio. Its funny, I was about 1/2 mile down the street from their shop this morning out riding in Peninsula.

Does anyone have a recommendation for the best suspension set up shop in the state? Shop or individual - no preference on which. I want this dialed in professionally and to find out whether I need to swap some parts instead of me tweaking with it for the next two years. Thanks.

Welcome........I think I'm in love. I'm sure you're cute too.

Nice tech but their customer service stinks. My city has a two year contract with them for all of their hardware. It's been a nightmare.

If the weather permits I'm going to try to go down on Friday. The plan is to brave the ride on naked Triumph. Hoping to have enough left in me to do some demo rides when I get there. Will be my first time.

Anyone planning on going to Mid-Ohio for Vintage AMA Motorcycles Days July 11-13?
-
You have a Ducati, a Mustang and now this? What are you trying to do hoard all the toys for yourself?
-
That's why when riding and the bad juju starts just head for home...............ride another day.

Thanks! I'm all over it.
