  1. yea, I should have explained better... I took the Basic Rider course to get my license which I thought was pretty good. I then took the Basic Rider 2 course a year later which I didn't get a thing from. I read the description and that's all well and good but I was just wondering if anyone here had taken it and their overall impression of what they got out of it. I'll have to blow a workday and make a three hour hump to take it.

  2. Dress for the fall, not the ride. If you need motivation look up skin debridement procedures that they will do as they pick pebbles out of your butt. Nobody looks cute after that. Blew most of my funds on getting the bike this year so I picked up a textile jacket, cheap Scorpion full face, kevlar reinforced jeans and $50 ankle high riding shoes. Planning on upgrading gear over off-season starting with helmet. Motorcyclecloseouts.com sometimes have some decent deals on the cheap.

  3. You don't progress by watching or being a groupie. You progress by doing, a trackday is a fast track to progression.

I get that but I blew all of my expendable cash this year getting the bike and some usable gear. Have to wait until next season for a track suit, a decent helmet and another set of tires for the ones I burn at the track day.

  4. Does anyone have a recommendation for the best suspension set up shop in the state? Shop or individual - no preference on which. I want this dialed in professionally and to find out whether I need to swap some parts instead of me tweaking with it for the next two years. Thanks.
