  1. From what I heard the guy is banged up but will be OK.
  2. http://www.wunderground.com/weather-forecast/zmw:44904.2.99999 7%! STOP ME FROM SHOPPING FOR MORE BIKE PARTS! LOL I apologize in advance for my new paint job
  3. Weather is looking pretty decent... Just hope I don't get stuck in any mud from all the rain.
  4. THIS. Also, you're going an hour away. If you rent U-haul motorcycle trailer for a day and it infinitely simplifies your life it's probably worth the money. Dropping a new bike while loading would suck. When you get to the track you can look around at the various setups and ask people about them. It gives you a good excuse to talk to people. Just look out for anyone named Bruce.
  5. In for Monday/Tuesday. Now to request the vacation. LOL
  6. Wow, that would be awesome. That's about the only place without a ton of runoff.
  7. Use the tires to "pave" areas of the paddock and re-work the drainage. Fix the track with normal asphalt. winz.
  8. On the positive side though, the layout at Nelson's would be a lot of fun if it was reasonably smooth. It flows well and is fast but not crazy. It's only 30 minutes from my house so I hope it gets fixed up. I feel like if there was some transparency with the issues some intrepid racers/track day enthusiasts may organize and help out.
  9. LOL. I'll bring some window screen next Nelson's event to sell as radiator guard material. Guess I wasn't paying attention with everything going on.
  10. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was hard to ride in spots. I remember it being bad, but T4 especially was nuts. I took a piece of asphalt in the bicep that drew a little blood, gross. I'm glad nobody got anything thrown up in their radiators. I think between the rain, track conditions, and skill range my group was bust. I got maybe one or two clear laps without hitting traffic. Pretty frustrating. I was talking to a friend who was supposed to head out there in his Subaru a couple weeks ago. He told me his track day was cancelled so they could do repairs. I'm wondering what they repaired, and if it was with orange paint? Anyways it was still fun, good seeing some familiar face and meeting some more OR guys. I'm ready for some smooth pavement at Putnam. Debating moving up to intermediate.
  11. Let's hope so. In for Saturday track day.
  12. I haven't been to Nelson's in a while. (5 years or so?) How is the pavement doing? I hear complaints but don't know what to make of them. I see a lot of 600's going... Any of you race twins? Thinking of taking the SV in that direction. Wherever the numbers are.
  13. I think his name was Owen. Real cool guy with a long history of bikes and adventures. After about the third session they were tryinng to figure something out because he kept dragging his pegs. LOL
  14. I'll second Bruce, the instruction was great. It was a bit cold to start each day, but comfortable as the day went on. I think Mr. Clean's name is Mike. LOL. I worked with Perry for two days, really good dude and he brought me up to speed quick. Second day was knee down, parts dragging, lot more speed all over. TONS of fun. Perry was seriously the man, he took some videos while following me so I could really see what to work on. The group was pretty small so there was plenty of clear track for everyone. We had a few characters in the group which made it even more entertaining. I am seriously exhausted today. Good meeting you guys. Bruce let me know if/when you'd like those sliders cut. Now I want a second set of wheels with track tires. I'm ruined.
  15. New guy in for Friday & Saturday. If you see a ratty silver second gen SV650 with a confused novice it's probalby me. Stop by and say hi.
