Maverick 88 may as well be a 500, its the same gun with a different slide grip and the safety is different, other than that everything is interchangable. If you are looking for a good cheap starter 12 gauge I would go with the Maverick 88. I think I picked mine up from Wally world for less than 180 bucks. I like my 88 and have not had any problems with it at all.

My brother thought it was a race car and tried passing three cars on slight hill and wound up ditching the car cause when he locked the breaks up to keep from hitting on coming traffic he slid of the road over a ditch and yes I mean over and into a giant carved bear (which stood no chance with that heavy ass thing hitting it) and then into a gas meter. Luckily no one was hurt and we pulled the car home yanked the motor/trans and scraped the rest. A 4G6 what? That sounds like a cell phone or something lol. I'm kidding.... Hey guys, I'm from Litchfield just outside of Medina in NE Ohio. I heard about this site awhile back and figured it check it out. I come from a long line of Ford fans. But anyhow I've got a 94 GT with minimal bolt ons (full exhaust) my old man has a 96 mystic cobra and an 04 mystic with only 70 miles or so on it (he really only drove it home) my brother has an 03 GT and a 302 swapped 85 that still needs lots of work.
