Not knowing what sort of mechanical shape it's in...I'd say go ahead and tweak the intake and exhaust. Makes it a little more fun to hear the 5.0L breathe, and should be some slight performance/MPG improvements.

 

Do it on the CHEAP: like, check the intarbutts for recommendations, flip the air cleaner lid, cut resonators and straight-pipe sort of Dollar-General mods...

I'll check them out! I've been looking for a decent low miles (under 80k) 460 to just drop in for about a year now but most are sitting in RVs and they want the buyer to pull them. Just don't have the knowledge for a task like that..

As most of you know this weekend Mid Ohio presents Mechanics Bank Vintage Grand Prix!! A pretty cool event to see multi million dollar/priceless vintage race care being put through their paces! Cars from 11 SVRA racing groups with names like Lolas, Ferraris, Mustangs, Triumph Spitfires, Trans-Ams and Aston Martins. Should be a fun weekend!!

 

They have the Mini Cooper for the Featured Marque this year.

What kind of time frame are you looking to get it done in?

 

Whoever is going to fix it can have it for two months for all I care just as long as it gets done and works properly.

The Fiero, they smacked the drivers side rear corner of the back bumper, about 6 inches of paint scuffs and sent cracks through the paint all over.

I'm sorry to hear this happened.

 

I don't think you would need to repaint the whole car just because you don't have a paint code. I believe a paint/body shop can use a precision instrument (I don't know the name) that can "read" the color of your paint and specify the recipe for the new paint.

 

Disclaimer: no expert here ..... check with a few shops

Good to know thank you. I will get ahold of him, kinda wanted to put a dark metallic red on it anyways but figured that would be down the road because the paint was in really nice shape until now.

Looking for someone who knows what they are doing to pull the 460 out of my F350, do a rebuild and put it back in. I will supply all the parts and bring the truck to you. It's a 1986 four door 8ft bed dually. It needs other work but I just need to get it running strong. I think it may have blown a head gasket and the bearings for the crank are shot.

 

Lookin to get labor estimates. If your interested in side work let's talk!

Fuck, that sux. I've experienced that myself a few times. In the meantime, I'd be searching that parking lot everyday for a paint scuff on someone else's car.

 

I wish it happened in a parking lot so I had some place to search. It was parked on the street so the dream robber could be anywhere.

To whomever decided to hit my car, leave the scene and leave no info or note.... I recommend you eat French fries that give you herpes or mouthwash that gives you poison ivy. Thanks to your act of dickholeness Now I have to put money aside for a total re-paint because I have no idea what my paint code is due to the car not being the original color. The nerve of some people! Just glad I didn't take my wife's car to work yesterday. My nuts would be starting up a permanent residence inside her purse if it happened to her car.
