  1. I'm writing my review out my buying experience. I have no shame giving an honest review about my experience. Just because it seems a little sensationalist, I stand by my review. Did I dock other dealers? Absolutely not. In fact, this was the last dealership I looked at inventory from because I was sure I was going to buy a new bike, not a used. I'm a new user because I was recommended to join ohio riders for the community. If you guys participate in any local meetups, I'd love to participate.
  2. I stopped by IndMoto on Monday or Tuesday this passed week, met with Justin to introduce me to a Yamaha YZ8. He briefed me on all of the details from the inspection information, bike condition, warranty, etc. We talked quite a bit making the experience more personable. I prefer to feel like I'm being treated like a friend when buying something, and Justin made that experience possible. The financing was straight forward. Pam, the finance specialist, got me settled quickly because I picked the bike up sooner than they had expected (3/11). There was another girl who worked the front counters (sorry I forget your name, but you were wonderful!) who helped me pick out a helmet even though they didn't have my size in stock, she was able to arrange a next day helmet delivery. Down to the details of my experience: Customer service: 10/10 - Very friendly, personable staff, even went out of their way to help me get everything settled quicker than anticipated. Pricing: 9/10 - I know dealerships exist to make a profit, otherwise they wouldn't be in business. The price was fair compared to similar bikes in the area, though pricing services online such as KBB, NADA had the pricing listed lower for used models. Availability: 10/10 - Staff stayed after hours to ensure I had all the paperwork completed and the bike was prepped/ready for riding Motorcycle Condition: 9/10 - 2013 with 2k miles, had a few minor scuffs, exhaust has a few scratches. Nothing I'd complain about in particular except the gaudy transformer emblems the previous owner put on, and the aftermarket fairings covering the exhaust down pipes (note I'm not docking a point for the aftermarket parts, just the scuffs) Motorcycle ride/comfort: 10/10 - A rather big mistake this entire experience was committing to a sale where I could not test ride the bike before hand due to inclimate weather. That being said, I placed my faith in the dealership to be honest and trustworthy which they were in every aspect. Riding this bike home felt like velvet cloud nine. I'm not used to powerful bikes considering I came from a very small bike previously on top of me being out of riding for 2 seasons. This bike is a dream machine, she handles nicely and she rides very elegantly. I would recommend anyone around town who's nearby looking for a bike stop by IndMoto, if not just to look around and speak with the staff. I plan on going back in a few days to catch up with the staff and let them know how I'm adjusting to the bike. Image of bike:
  3. Thanks for the welcomes everyone! Glad to have this beautiful girl sitting in my drive way!
  4. Awesome! Once I get the bike and the weather clears up, I'd love to get a good local riding group together for the spring break in
  5. I was extremely close to pulling the trigger on an FZ-07, but I liked the idea of having a more upright riding position on the FZ8. I'll definitely update you once I get the bike. Hoping to have it picked up this Thursday.
  6. Hi Everyone! I'm excited to be coming back to the riding scene, and I'm new to the forum so I hope I can meet with some folks this year for group riding. I'm picking up a great looking Yamaha FZ8 from the good folks over at IndyMoto after being out of riding for a few years, but hoping the new experience will help reinvigorate myself (much needed decompression). It feels good to have a high level of enthusiasm knowing in a few weeks I'll cruising the roads and hitting up the triple nickel on the weekends again. I'd like to give a shout out to Justin (coincidentally my name too) from Indy who helped me go through the motions of getting the bike, and who recommended me to join the forum. If anyone knows of any local group and ride meets, I'd love to participate! Hope to see some of y'all out on the road, and safe riding!
