  1. My win10 wireless sometimes doesn't reconnect after coming out of sleep until I click the unconnected icon and it pops bunches of networks then a second later mine pops up and connects (set to auto auth/connect)

This isn't an upgrade install, it was a fresh 10 Tech preview with all updates.

The double lock screen feels a bit queer.

I do like how you can rapid fire crtl-alt-delete + Enter to lock, just like the Vista days. Win7 requires a pause in the middle

WIn7 laptop HDD is going out again though..

A Second Amendment right to carry a firearm openly in public may exist, but the Supreme Court hasn't answered that question, Judge Fletcher wrote.

Thursday’s ruling marked a reversal for the Ninth Circuit. In 2014, a three-judge panel of the court held that the Second Amendment “does require that the states permit some form of carry for self-defense outside the home.”

  3. I did put them on top of the SUV when i parked the bike, then put them in the suv when i left in the suv, brought them in with the mail, and found the 2nd one under yesterdays same-ads-as-last-week junk mail.

I bought pink boxing handwraps because anything black blends in with 50% of my stuff that's black. Ironically clear objects are my next most often misplaced item.

  4. upgrade from what? I'd trade win8 up faster than win 7.

Still prefer win7 to win10 with classic start menu.

The calculator app often closes itself when opened, its also ugly. I downloaded a classic calculator app.

Another plus for win7, it doesn't call every program an app.

Also on principle the, "ALL settings" app has links to additional options and advanced settings in the control panel. Who the hell planned that out?

  5. If you get used parts you may need documentation of the VIN the parts came from ( I did in Australia) except when parts are shipped in from out of the country as the vins don't come up in their system but you need intl shipping receipts. Sadly it was totaled unsalvageable a second time and other driver's Ins (finally) paid average replacement value for it.

I probably wouldn't do it again unless I wanted to customise the bike again (put easy to find gsxr forks on a sv650 last time) I would like a Streetuna, VFR/RC51 with dirt bars, or a too cheap to pass up 600. Nice bikes it would be a shame to hack up and streetfighter out.

I have a friend who bought a wrecked miata and had a shop weld on a new front subframe and paint. At the inspection the state unbolted the fenders and kept them because they painted over serial numbers so no proof they weren't hot ( guilty until proven innocent?) I don't know why he couldn't have just stripped the paint, but the shop replaced them since I guess the painter should have known better.

Gotta look at the bigger picture. CC theft may not cost you money directly, but it costs the card issuers and guess who they are going to pass those costs on to?

Through interest, don't carry a balance.

  7. The Goose went after me again on the street in front of the gas station on the opposite corner after I left a few days ago and again today just idling at the stop light without getting gas. He was limping this time he may have finally lost a battle.
