  1. Quick follow up: had the insurance finally tell me that its a total loss and they are working number. (Looking for an 05/06 636... hint hint.) Should be done with physical therapy and hopefully riding by the end of the month.thanks to everyone's good wishes.
  2. Recently had my bike totaled in an accident and I'm looking to find the exact same or very close bike. Any recommendations on shops or anyone selling one? Found lots of 636's but none green and black in that year
  3. Anyone recommend a good lawyer in the Marysville/Columbus area? Think I'm going to take everyone's advice. Have a follow up appt with the Dr today.
  4. Considering a lawyer. Especially since the frame is broke and I know it will be totaled. Lots of aftermarket parts so I want to get something at least equal to what I have. Not looking for a large settlement...but want Dr bills, bike replacement, and loss of work covered at minimum
  5. Abs on a new bike or a bazaaz system with abs if they can repair the bike is a definite. No way I could've avoided it besides completely stopping. Oncoming traffic and she took up the lane I was in. Possibly could've swerved if I let off of the brakes, but possibly could've hit the sliding door or slid under her of I did let off. Lessons learned... but in the end she was cited and I'm walking still.
  6. I was riding north on Route four through Marysville on my way homeand a gold van was stopped southbound waiting to turn left into blues Creek Golf Club.two cars in front of me pass by the van and I was about 4 car lengths behind them. the van made its turned into blues Creek in front of me and I locked up the brakes slid and caught the right rear passenger side of their van. Took out my turn signal, my right side fairings, broke me frame slider and pushed it through my fairing, and I'm sure there's more still but I haven't looked closer or under the fairings yet. My knee put a nice basketball deep dent in the rear quarter panel of her van and my frame slider ripped the bumper open to the metal. Said she never saw or heard anything until she felt me hit her. So far I'm on crutches for a week or so due to my right knee going into her van, and a cut on my shin. Will know more after my follow up. Dealing with safe auto insurance, who h from the reviews I've read they are horrible to deal with. So for now I'm back in a cage till she's repaired. Passenger in the van said..." man another inch and you wouldnt have hit us." Another inch the other way and I would've been in your backseat...another 3 seconds of waiting and I would've passed by and you could've turned freely. They didn't sayuch after that. But I never dropped the bike and luckily was wearing all my gear. Look out for motorcycles people. Bright neon green with brights on and she never saw a thing

  8. Very true... most riders I see without gear are riding cruisers. I would say 75% I see are not wearing helmets and even more are not wearing any other gear. My only issue is as stated above by hillbilly, that those same cruiser riders that are doing poker runs to bars and actively drinking and driving without any gear are the same ones cursing sport bike riders saying that we are giving bikers a bad name. There could be a never ending battle between cruisers and sport bikes and cages, and between people that follow ATGATT and squids. As stated... to each their own. Just a small bit h session I started because of caters cutting me off and flipping me off, meanwhile they are passed by a group of "real bikers" (they're words) and had no issues.
  9. As a 270 and 33 daily commuter I'm noticing more and more squid riders. Good example was Monday...an older zx6 flew by me while I was doing about 70mph. I look over and see him wearing a bandana over his face, tennis shoes, T-shirt, and tucked in laying on his tank. Not 10 minutes before that a guy passed me doing at least 100 wearing shorts, tennis shoes, a T-shirt that was flapping so I could see his back. At least he was wearing a helmet. When he passed he turned his body halfway around and motioned for me to follow him. That's just Mondays examples. I can see why most cruiser don't wave at me when I wave from my sport bike now, if this is the norm for the area. I've always believed in the saying to each their own, but I would have to say in these situations that the stereotype of sportbikes is fitting around Columbus and its hurting those who utilize a track for speed and learning g, where all the gear all the time, and commute on a daily basis. I've had numerous close minded people cuss me out, flip me off, or even cut me off just for being on a sport bike. Sorry for the long rant and bit h session...just wanted to clear my mind and see what others thoughts were. Enjoy the weather and dress for the slide.
  10. Hello all, new to the forum and wanted to say hi. Just riding alone for now and would like to find a small group or just one or two riders to show me the twisted and routes. I have an 05 Kawasaki 636 that's kawi green. Been riding around the outskirts of Richwood and have found some decent roads, but not many turns. Hope everyone enjoyed the little bit of warmth we've had lately.
